Events Organized

Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering in association with IETE student chapter jointly organized an event titled CODE-FIESTA on 24.04.2023 (Monday) for II & III year ECE students. 49 students from II & III year ECE were actively participated in the event, in which the participants programming knowledge and coding skills were tested in relation to C programming and Python programming. Two rounds were conducted. 17 were shortlisted from round 1. Finally, the top performers were considered as winners and runners-up. Mr.R.Deiva Nayagam, AP/ECE coordinated this programme. The event was conducted by the student coordinators Mr.M.Dinesh, III ECE A, Mr.A.Srikusan, III ECE B, Mr.S.Shriram, II ECE B, Mr.S.Girishkumar, II ECE A.

Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering in association with Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) student chapter jointly organized Vippanan Case Study-2023 on 19.04.2023 (Wednesday) through offline for II and III year ECE students. They came up with amazing creative ideas for real time Problems. 6 teams from II and III year actively participated in this event. Students ideas were evaluated by their Innovation, originality, Technical Merit, Applicability. Dr.A.Azhagu Jaisudhan Pazhani and Ms.R.Chandralekha coordinated the event.

Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering in association with IETE student chapter jointly organized an event titled Circuit Debugging on 01.04.2023 (Saturday) for II & III year ECE students. More than 30 students from II year & III Year ECE actively participated in the event. Participants were given wrong circuits and insisted to correct and debug them which results in correct and expected output. Mr.P.Venkatesh, AP/ECE coordinated this programme. Mr.S.Vijayan & Ms.K.Akshaya from III year ECE, Ms.A.Adheeba Banu & Mr.S.Shree Harish from II year ECE acted as student coordinators. Ms.K.Akshaya welcomed the gathering and finally Mr.S.Vijayan proposed vote of thanks.

Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering in association with the IETE student forum organized a Idea Presentation (Vaijnyanika) on 09.03.2023 (Thursday) for I, II & III year ECE students. Dr.S.Vairaprakash, Associate Professor/ECE acted as a Jury for this event. 5 student batches from I, II & III year students actively participated in this event. Students presented their ideas in the topic such as Water Conservation, Power Generation, Speed Control, Energy Generation from Roads, Prevention of Agriculture lands from damages caused by wild animals. Students presentation was evaluated by their Innovation, feasibility of product conversion, presentation, originality and response to queries. Dr.B.Deepa Lakshmi, Associate Professor & Head i/c/ECE convener, Dr.K.Ragavan AP(SG)/ECE coordinated the event. Student coordinators Mr.Sakthi.C.R, III Year ECE B, Mr.A.Dilipkumar, III Year ECE A, Ms.R.Inika, II Year ECE A and Ms.E.Uma Maheswari, II Year ECE B gave welcome address and vote of thanks. Finally students feedbacks are collected.

IETE Students Chapter of ECE Department organized a Technical event Electra Hackathon on 10.02.2023 for II & III year ECE students. Around 40 students participated in this technical event. Students formed as a team and attended the program. Students participated in three rounds which consist of quiz and problems related to Basic Electronics. The winners of the event are Mr.R.Karuppasamy, Mr.A.Dilip Kumar & Mr.M.Dhinesh of III Year ECE. The event was organized by the student coordinators Ms.B.R.Gunaksha, Mr.M.Yogarajkumar of III year, Ms.G.V.Dhivyaa. Ms.R.Amirthavarshini of II year and faculty coordinators Mr.B.Kannan AP(SG), Mrs.R.Ramalakshmi, AP(SG).

Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering in association with IETE student chapter jointly organized a Guest Lecture titled Signal Processing and its applications on 05.12.2022 (Monday) for III year ECE & EEE students. More than 60 students from III year ECE & EEE were actively participated in this guest lecture. Resource Person Dr.S. Esakkirajan, Professor, Department of Instrumentation and Control Engineering, PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore delivered a wonderful session about signals, systems, Filter design, Multirate Signal processing and applications . Students interact and gain more informations about innovative and creative thinking. Dr.S.Vairaprakash, ASCP/ECE coordinated this programme. Student coordinator Ms.G.Anusuya, III Year ECE A gave welcome address and Mr.D.Arunkumar, III Year ECE B gave vote of thanks. Finally Mr.K.Mukilan, and Ms.B.Jebapriya II Year ECE B were conducted quiz and collected students feedback.

The Department of ECE in association with IETE Student Chapter organized Project Expo on the behalf of Engineers day on 27.09.2022 from 1.30 PM to 3.00 PM at Communication systems lab and Electronic Circuits I & II Simulation lab. Totally 34 batch of students from second and third year ECE participated in the project expo. The event was organized by Mrs.V.SrirengaNachiyar-AP (SG)/ECE and Ms.L.Krishnakumari, AP/ECE, Ramco Institute of Technology, Rajapalayam. The students actively participated in this event. Mr.D.Karthik Prabhu, AP(SG)/EEE & Dr.A.Azhagu Jaisudhan Pazhani, ASCP/ECE acted as juries for the Project Expo and selected four best projects.

Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering in association with IETE student chapter jointly organized a Guest Lecture titled Out of the Box Thinking on 03.09.2022 (Saturday) for II & IV year ECE students. More than 190 students from II year & IV Year ECE were actively participated in this guest lecture. Resource Person Mr. S. Jeevanantharaja, Project/Test Management Specialist, Honeywell, Madurai delivered a wonderful session about Out of the Box Thinking. Students interact and gain more informations about innovative and creative thinking. Dr.A.Lakshmi, ASCP/ECE and Mr.D.Gopinath, AP/ECE coordinated this programme. Association Chairman Mr.R.Mahendraprakash, IV Year ECE B gave welcome address and Association Secretary Mr.S.Lingesh, IV Year ECE A gave vote of thanks. Finally Ms.C.Padmapriya, and Ms.S.Abinaya IV Year ECE were collected students feedbacks.

Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering in association with the IETE student forum organized a Poster Presentation on 09.05.2022 (Monday) for I, II & III year ECE students. Mrs.S.Jeeva AP/ECE acted as a Jury for this event. 4 student batches from I, II & III year students actively participated in this event. Students presented their ideas in the topic such as Food Wastage using IOT, Electronic Skin, Emergency Alert using IOT and Flex Circuit. Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering in association with the IETE student forum organized a Webinar on Role of Embedded Systems in E-Vehicle on 08.12.2021 (Wednesday) through Google meet for II, III & IV year ECE students. The resource person for the webinar is Mr.G.Sivasankar, M.E, (Ph.D) Assistant Professor (Sr. Gr.), Department of ECE, Mepco Schlenk Engineering College (Autonomous), Sivakasi, explained the role of Embedded Systems in E-Vehicle as well as systems and software related challenges in the context of electric vehicle design. The students actively participated in the webinar by asking various doubts. Dr.S.Periyanayagi Prof& Head/ECE convener, Mr.B.Kannan, AP(SG)/ECE, and Mr.L.Balaji Vignesh, AP/ECE coordinated the event. Student coordinators Ms.N.Harshethaa, IV Year ECE A and Ms.K.Vishnupriya, IV Year ECE B, gave a welcome address and vote of thanks. Finally, students feedback is collected.

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering in association with IETE student chapter jointly organized an activity named Train your Brain from 18.11.2021 to 04.12.20201 through online for II, III & IV year ECE students. The tricky technical questions which were frequently asked in GATE have been posted daily. Around 10 students have been participated regularly. Dr.S.Periyanayagi Prof& Head/ECE convener, Ms.S.A.Radhika AP/ECE, the faculty coordinator and Mr.P.Madhav & Mr.R.Sai Siddharth, Students coordinator from final year ECE A and B coordinated the event.

Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering in association with IETE student chapter jointly organized Guest lecture on Advances in Antenna design for Biomedical Applications on 29.10.2021 (Friday) at ECE Seminar Hall for II, III & IV year ECE students. The Chief Guest, Mr.T.Jayanandan, Founder & CEO, Tesla Mind, Chennai shared his experience and insisted them to learn the basic concepts of the subjects which will help them to get placed in core companies. The students actively participated in the guest lecture by asking various doubts. Dr.S.Periyanayagi Prof& Head/ECE convener, Mr.D.Gopinath AP/ECE & Mr.A.Ramesh babu AP/ECE coordinated the event. Student coordinators Ms.Deepika, gave welcome address and vote of thanks. Finally, students feedback is collected.

IETE Students Chapter of ECE Department organized a Technical event TechMerize on 21.10.2021 for II & III year ECE students. Around 20 students participated in this technical event. The participants have attended quiz in first two rounds and in the third round circuit debugging related to Basic Electronics have been done. E-Certificate has been provided to all the participants. The winners of the event are B.Keerthika III Year ECE, K.Dharini III Year ECE and K.Aparna II Year ECE. The event was organized by the student coordinators P.Deepak Chakravarthi & S.Hariharan of III year ECE and faculty coordinators Mrs.R.Ramalakshmi, AP/ECE & Mr.P.Venkatesh, AP/ECE.

IETE Students Chapter of ECE Department organized an Event Project EXPO on 15.09.2021 for II & III year ECE students. Totally 33 teams of students were participated in this PROJECT EXPO. The event was organized by Mr.M.Mohanasudhan, IV Year ECE and Mr.A.Nithish Balaji, IV Year ECE and coordinated by Mr.L K.Balaji Vignesh, AP/ECE and Ms.S.Harini Shriram, AP/ECE & Dr. B. Deepalakshmi, ASP/EEE and Dr.K.Karthikeyan, ASP/EEE evaluated the student projects. The students demonstrated their projects with posters. Mahendra Prakash R, Naveen Ajay Kumat T of III year ECE B won the I Prize, Dharshini K, Keerthika B, Dharini A of III year ECE A won the II Prize, Dhinesh M, Hariprasad N, Karanan K of II year ECE A won III prize.

IETE Students Chapter of ECE Department organized an Event IDEATHON on 30.08.2021 for II & III year ECE students through Google meet. 12 students were participated in this Technical event. The event was organized by Ms.M.Shrinithimeena III Year ECE and Ms.S.Jeyagomathi III Year ECE and coordinated by Mrs.V.SrirengaNachiyar, AP(SG)/ECE. Mr.B.Kannan, AP(SG)/ECE acted as a Jury.

RIT ELECTRONICA in association with the IETE Students Forum of the ECE Department organized a workshop on Machine Learning on 11.01.2021 & 12.01.2021 for all the students of the various domains through Google meet. 36 students have participated in this workshop. The event was organized by Mr.P.Madhav,III Year ECE and Mr.A.Vijayalaxmanasen, II Year ECE and coordinated by Dr.B.Deepa Lakshmi, ASCP/ECE, and Mrs.M.Sangeetha, AP/ECE.

RIT ELECTRONICA in association with the IETE Students Chapter of the ECE Department organized a webinar on Positive Attitude Towards Winning on 07.12.2020 for I year ECE students through the online platform Google Meet, 92 students participated in the webinar. Mr.K.S.P.J.Babu Director Programmes M.S.Chellamuthu Trust & Research Foundation, Madurai was the resource person. The webinar was organized by Mr.P.Madhav, III Year ECE A, and Mr.A.Vijayalaxmanasen, II Year ECE B and coordinated by Mrs.Ramalakshmi, AP/ECE and Mr.G.Sivakumar AP/ECE.

Technical questions were presented using Powerpoint presentation. The event was organized by Ms.M.Shrinithimeena II Year ECE and Ms.G.Manjula II Year ECE and coordinated by Mrs.V.SrirengaNachiyar, AP(SG)/ECE.

The event was organized by Ms.K.Sukuna III Year ECE and Mr.P.Kalidas II Year ECE and coordinated by Mr.D.Gopinath, AP/ECE.

IETE Students Forum of the ECE Department organized a technical event Technical Fest on 17.10.2020 for II, III & IV year ECE students through Google meet. 17 students participated in this technical event. Technical questions were presented using Powerpoint presentation. The event was organized by R.Dhitchanaa, III year ECE and S.Mirra, III year ECE co-ordinated by Mrs.R.Chitra, AP/ECE, and Mr.B.Kannan, AP(SG)/ECE

IETE Students forum of the ECE Department organized an event Mindscapes on 01 Oct. 2020 for II & III year ECE students through Google meet. 20 students participated in this Technical Fun event. The event was conducted with 3 rounds namely Quiz, Connections, Brain Teaser. The event was organized by K.Aarthi, N.Harsheetha, III ECE and coordinated by Mr.P.Venkatesh, AP/ECE.

The Department of Electronics and Communication in association with IETE organized a Technical Event for RIT Buds on Talent Hunt for I ECE Students who are about to join in RIT, Rajapalayam on 10.09.2020. A total of 44 students attended the program. The program was coordinated by Mr.A.Azhagu Jaisudan Pazhani, AP(SG)/ECE and Mr.G.Sivakumar, AP/ECE under the guidelines of convenor Dr.S.Periyanayagi, Professor & Head/ECE.

The Department of Electronics and Communication in association with the IETE Students forum organized an event Knowledge with Funny Riddle for I ECE Students who are about to join in RIT, Rajapalayam on 05 Sep. 2020. A total of 45 students attended the program. Technical quiz on basics of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and other funny quiz activity were conducted in the event. The program was conducted and coordinated by Mrs.R.Ramalakshmi, AP/ECE, and Mr.S.Vijayakumar, AP/ECE under the guidelines of convenor Dr.S.Periyanayagi, Professor & Head/ECE.

A Guest Lecture on Overview of 5G was organized by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering on 05.09.2020 for II, III & IV ECE Students. The Speaker for the lecture was Mr.M.Chandrasekaran, Lead Research Engineer, Centre of Excellence in Wireless Technology (CEWiT), IIT Madras. A total of 155 students attended the session.

Department of ECE organized a Two-day Workshop on QUAD-COPTER in association with RIT IETE and Harbour Technologies (Techradiance 20) during 12th and 13th February 2020 for the Internal and External participants from various Engineering Colleges. The students actively participated in this workshop. Mr.Rajesh and Mr.Vignesh (Research Engineer, Harbour Technologies) were the resource persons for this workshop. The Workshop was organized by the faculty coordinators Mrs.G.Gnana Priya, AP(Sr.Gr.)/ECE & Mr.S.Vijayakumar, AP/ECE and the Student Coordinators Ms.K.Mounica, III year ECE and Mr.A.Nithish Balaji, II year ECE.

IETE Students Forum of ECE Department organized a technical event EX-QUIZ ME on 01.02.2020 for II & III year ECE students. 13 teams (26 students) participated in the event and finally, 3 teams (6 students) were selected as winners. Ms.M.Subhashree and Ms.V.Sivapriya of III years ECE won I prize. The event was organized by Ms.S.Annapoorani and Ms.M.Santhiya of III year ECE co-ordinated by Dr.B.Deepa Lakshmi, ASCP/ECE.

Department of ECE organised a Technical Fest in association with IETE in the view of Engineers Day Celebration for II year & III year ECE students on 14.09.2019. The students were actively participated in various events such as Project Expo, Thinkathon and Technical Quiz to exhibit their talents. The Events was organized by Mr.R.Deiva Nayagam AP/ECE and Mrs.R.Ramalakshmi AP/ECE. The Winners were selected after various screening levels based on their performance.

IETE Students Forum of ECE department organized a technical event Circuitrix on 10.09.2019 for II year & III year ECE students. 9 teams (18 students) participated in the event and finally 3 teams (6 students) were selected as winners. The event was organized by Ms.Libiya Joseph and Ms.J.Shaina Davita co-ordinated by Mr.G.Sivakumar, Assistant Professor/ECE.

The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) Chapter of ECE department organized a technical event Techno Quiz on 27.08.2019 for II year & III year ECE students. 10 teams (20 students) participated in the event and finally 3 teams (6 students) were selected as winners. The Event coordinator is Mr.R.Deiva Nayagam, AP/ECE. The Event was conducted by Mr.G.M.Vairamuthu and Mr.S.V.Sumanth of III year ECE.

The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) chapter has organized the technical event MUX on 20.08.2019 for II year & III year ECE students. 10 teams (30 Students) were participated in the event and finally 3 teams (6 students) were selected as the winners. The Event Co-ordinator is Mr.V.Rajesh AP/ECE. The Student Co-ordinators Ms.G.Nandhini Devi & Ms.A.Adishree Trinetra, III year ECE conducted the events.

VALUE ADDED COURSES

The Department of ECE organized a Technical Fest in association with IETE on 15th September 2018 in view of Engineers day for II Year and III Year ECE Students. The students were actively participated in various events such as Project Exhibition, Art of Thinking (Video Presentation) and Technical MonoAct to exhibit their talents was organized by Mr.A.Azhagu Jaisudhan Pazhani, AP(SG)/ECE and Mr.R.Deiva Nayagam AP/ECE. Dr.S.Rajakarunakaran, Vice-Pricipal/RIT, Dr.S.kannan, HOD/EEE and Dr.S.Periyanayagi, HOD/ECE were distributed the Cash prizes and Certificate of Appreciation to the winners of various events.

IETE chapter organized a 1-day Technical talk and Demo on IoT Technologies for the faculty members on 16.11.18. IETE (Trivandrum) chairman Dr.S.Arumugaperumal and IETE(Coimbatore) Secretary Dr.Anantha Narayanan delivered talk and demo on open source IoT kits indigenously developed and tested by IETE.

Five days value added course on Internet of Things (IOT) with Raspberry Pi was organised by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering from 17.05.2018 to 22.05.2018 for II Year ECE students. The Sessions were handled by the Resource Persons Mr.M.Kannan, Mr.P.Kesavan, Senior Technical Manager from M/s. Enthu Technology Solutions India Pvt. Ltd., Coimbatore.

Five days value added course on NI- LABVIEW was organised by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering from 17.05.2018 to 22.05.2018 for II Year ECE students. The Sessions were handled by the Resource Persons Mr.B.Kannan, Assistant Professor (SG), Mr.P.Gunasekaran, Assistant Professor, Mr.V.Rajesh, Assistant Professor, Ramco Institute of Technology, Rajapalayam.

Five days value added course on Internet of Things (IOT) with Raspberry Pi was organised by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering from 30.11.2017 to 04.12.2017 for III Year ECE students. The Sessions were handled by the Resource Persons Mr.Moorthy Kanagaraj, Product Manager, Mr.B.Mathivanan and Mr.R.Sathishkumar from M/s. Enthu Technology Solutions India Pvt. Ltd., Coimbatore.

Five days value added course on Arduino UNO was organised by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering from 30.11.2017 to 04.12.2017 for II Year ECE students. The sessions were handled by the Resource Persons Mr.R.Deiva Nayagam, Assistant professor, Mr.T.RamPrakash, Assistant Professor and Mr.B.Kannan, Assistant Professor(SG), Ramco Institute of Technology, Rajapalayam.

Five days value added course on PLC and Sensors was organised by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering in association with M/s. P.A.C.Ramasamy Raja Polytechnic College, Rajapalayam from 30.11.2017 to 04.12.2017 for II Year ECE students The Sessions were handled by the Resource Persons Dr.V.R.Velmurugan, Lecturer and Mr. G.Rajagopal, HOD/EEE-SF from P.A.C.Ramasamy Raja Polytechnic College, Rajapalayam.

Five days value added course on MATLAB was organised by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering from 30.11.2017 to 04.12.2017 for II Year ECE students. The Sessions were handled by the Resource Persons Dr.S.Periyanayagi, HOD, Mr.K.Ragavan, Assistant Professor (SG), Dr.B.Deepa Lakshmi, Associate Professor, and Mr.A.Rameshbabu, Assistant Professor, ECE, Ramco Institute of Technology, Rajapalayam.

Five days value added course on VLSI Design using CADENCE Tools was organised by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering from 30.11.2017 to 04.12.2017 for III Year ECE students. The faculty co-ordinators from Ramco Institute of Technology handled various sessions on VLSI Design using CADENCE Tools. The Sessions were handled by the Resource persons Mr.A.Azhagu Jaisudhan Pazhani, Assistant professor, Mrs.M.Sangeetha, Assistant Professor and Mr.S.Vijayakumar, Assistant professor, Ramco Institute of Technology, Rajapalayam.
