G. R. Ragul S.Sridharan, IV Mech delivered the knowledge transfer session on Explanation of Kanban and Just In Time, Buffer Stock, Work in progress for the Gowrihouse Metalworks employees on 28 Jan., 2022. Also, the lecture includes January month Target and Achievement Statistics Report Discussion. This session was fruitful to the employees as well as management where they interacted about reasons for not achieving the target instructions was given to the employees to rectify in future.

In the month of August, Three Auditing has been carried out at Gowrihouse Metal Works LLP on the following dates [14 Aug., 2021, 21 Aug., 2021, 28 Aug., 2021] by the following students M.Thojesh Nandha, M.Nalliraj Madhavan, S.Ramhari Prasad and H.Prasaana Venkatesh of IV Mech along with the faculty Mr. G. Prabu Ram AP(SG)/Mech. Based on the three weeks cumulative scores of the Audit, Wire Drawing Zone of the Gowrihouse Metal Works LLP won the 5S Award for the month of August for their well-organized work and for creating and maintaining good housekeeping at the workplace, which made the workplace free of clutter and clean. Special Appreciation prizes were given to the following Wire Drawing Zone workers for their dedicated work towards the implementation of 5S in their Workplace on 01 Sep., 2021. GMW organization has been successfully started adopting 5S practices to create a positive and competitive work environment for its employees.

Team RIT Phoenix participated in National level SAUR URJA VEHICLE CHALLENGE (SUVC) 2020, held at Hindustan College of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore during 04-09 Mar., 2020 organized by RSTE (Refrangible Society of Technophile Engineers). Totally 30 students (27 Mech & 03 Electrical) participated in the event. The team has won the following prizes national level.
- Best B-Plan award (Cash Prize 4,000.00 and Trophy)
- Guru Dronacharya Award
- Team Spirit Award.

Thojesh Nandha of III Mech designed and manufactured an Automated Wheelchair for Paraplegic Patients and participated in the event ALLEVIATE organized by Mechanical Engineering Association of Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IITM) during March 2020. Our Team HASHTAG of Ramco Institute of Technology has cleared all three rounds and get into the Finals. Mr. G. Prabu ram, AP(SG)/Mech guided this project.
13 Students from Dept. of Mech, participated in Einstein Sports League 2020- Football and Volleyball matches organised by Einstein College of Engineering and Arts & Science, Tirunelveli on 01 Mar., 2020. Our college team secured second place and got runner-up trophy award in football match.

Students received cash prize of Rs.5000 and a drone kit e-Yantra Robotics Laboratory of our college. The results will be declared during second week of Mar. 2020.

INTECH OLYMPIAD is a National level initiative, organized by Rotary club of Pune in association with College of Engineering, Pune to bridge gap between industry and academic learning. This competition will give students a real experience of solving industrial problems with mentoring from experts. Mr.S.Arunachalam, third year Mechanical Engineering A section from our college have cleared the initial stages (Online aptitude and psychometric Test, Project specific online Test, Project submission phase, video presentation) of the competition-INTECH OLYMPIAD 2020 and was shortlisted for Final presentation at College of Engineering, Pune. This is a team based event where the team mates are from different institutions from various states and his team was allotted with the problem to provide solution for Cost effective snack wending machine in public places. After successful completion of final presentation the team has won the First Prize in Intech Olympiad 2020.
Eight teams from the Mechanical department participated in Mechatronics- India Skills 2020 district-level competition organized by NSDC in association with MHRD at Government College of Engineering on 30.01.2020. S.Deepak Krishna, S.Santhosh of II Year Mech students secured first place and T.Karthik@Siva, K.Vignesh of IV Year Mech students secured second place. The top two teams are directly qualified for state-level round and the next three teams are in reserved position. Our student teams secured the top 8 positions out of 10 positions. The teams are mentored and trained by Mr.S.Valai Ganesh, AP/Mech.

Here are our proud 25 participants from Mechanical Engineering and Electrical & Electronics Engineering to represent us in the E-BAJA event for the first time in their first attempt. Competing with 50 teams across the nation, our team made it half way in the leaderboard (Overall: 24th) organized by BAJA SAEINDIA. The event was held at NATRAX site pithampur, Madhya Pradesh during January 23 26, 2019. We congratulate the students and the Faculty Coordinators, Mr.J.Jerold John Britto and Mr.S.Meenakshi Sundaravel for their effort and wish them good luck for the upcoming events.Team RITZY cleared the Technical Inspection and participated in various static events i.e. design evaluation event, sales presentation and cost evaluation event.

T.Karthik@Siva,.K.Vignesh of III Year Mechanical Engineering and S.Nirmal Kumar and D.Vignesh of IV Year Mechanical Engineering participated in Regional round of Indiaskills competition Mechatronics Skills in Bangalore International Exhibition Centre, Bangalore during 20.06.2018-23.06.2018. This competition was conducted by NSDC. Our students secured 4th place in this round.
Team RIT Phoenix which includes 35 student members from Department of Mechanical Engineering and 5 student members from Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering had designed and fabricated a solar vehicle under the guidance of Mr.G.Prabu ram, AP/Mechanical and Mr.R.Arun Kumar, AP/Mechanical. Team RIT Phoenix participated in Saurya Urja Vehicle Championship 2017 - 18 (SUVC17-18) organized by Refrangible Society of Technophile Engineers (RSTE) held at City Mela Ground, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh between 26.05.2018-30.05.2018. RIT Phoenix had won Best Auto Cross Award with a cash worth of Rs.10,000/-, Best Acceleration Award.

ELECTRICAL SOLAR VEHICLE CHAMPIONSHIP 2018
25 students from Department of Mechanical Engineering and 5 students from Electrical and Electronics Engineering have designed and fabricated a solar vehicle. They represented our institution with the name RIT Phoenix 2.0 in Electric Solar Vehicle Championship 2018 (ESVC18), organized by Imperial Society of Innovative Engineers. The event held at Sri Vishnu College of Engineering for Women, Bhimavararm, Andhra Pradesh between March 26- April 02, 2018.

ELECTRIC SOLAR VEHICLE CHAMPIONSHIP 2017
RIT Phoenix representing Ramco Institute of Technology participated in Asias largest Electric Solar Vehicle Championship organized by Imperial Society of Innovative Engineers (ISIE), Noida, Uttar Pradesh. Out of 125 team from various IITs and NITs RIT Phoenix got selected in prelims round and fabricated the vehicle. The Final Event is to be held on 28.03.2017 to 02.04.2017 at Shri Vishnu College of Engineering for Women, West Godavari (Dt), Andhra Pradesh.
