About RIT-CLUSTRA

RIT-Clustra is the Computer Science and Engineering department's student association. RIT-CLUSTRA (Department Association) was started in the academic year 2014-2015. It is a platform that aims to boost students' knowledge while also giving them the opportunity to interact with industry leaders. The Association RIT-Clustra encourages students to participate in co-curricular and extracurricular activities, as well as keeping students and faculty informed about current events and trends, as well as their ability to function as effective members of the profession and society with a grasp of the global implications of their work. It is made up of students from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. The association provides sufficient opportunities for students to strengthen their presentation abilities, organizational skills, and leadership traits, allowing students to develop their whole personalities. Our organization hosts educational seminars, guest lectures, paper presentations, workshops, technical events, and cultural activities to encourage and promote creative thinking, leadership skills, artistic talents, cooperation, and coordination among its members, allowing them to work in multi-disciplinary teams.

Events Organized during 2023-2024

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, in collaboration with RIT-CLUSTRA, successfully organized Debug the Code Technical event on C programming on 14.05.2024, specifically for first-year CSE students. The event organizers design the coding questions for the participants on event. The event was coordinated by Ms. Asmitha B and s. Abinaya Sri S.V, both of whom are second-year CSE students. There were 30 students from the I CSE department who attended this event. Jane Gracy D and Jeyaseelan S secured first and second place, respectively, Technical Association President, Dr.K.Vijayalakshmi, HOD/CSE, and Faculty Advisor, Mrs. A. Sofia Thanga Mary, AP /CSE, have coordinated the event.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering Association with RIT-CLUSTRA carried out its Logical Thinking and math puzzles Technical event on aptitude successfully on 04.04.2024 for all the II year CSE students. The event co-ordinators wrote the constraints, test cases, and regulations for the participants on quiz. The event was organized by Ms.Krishna Veni M and Archanadevi J, II year CSE Students. This event was attended by 60 students from II CSE. Dharma Krishnan D, Sivabalan.S won the event I, II place respectively. Technical Association President, Dr.K.Vijayalakshmi, HOD/CSE, and Faculty Advisor, Mrs. A. Sofia Thanga Mary, AP /CSE, have coordinated the event.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Ramco Institute of Technology (RIT) in association with RIT Clustra and IE(I) CSE organized an enlightening online guest lecture on the subject of "Automation Testing". This event, part of the RIT-CLUSTRA series, attracted the participation of approximately 70 enthusiastic students. The lecture, held on April 19, 2024, featured two distinguished resource persons. A.Anton Elsin Visu, Technical LeadAmerican Express, New York, A.Agnel Thangadurai, Technical Lead, IBM, Bangalore, graciously shared their expertise and insights with the eager audience. They discussed about the Automation Testing and real time tools used for Testing. The session was organized under the guidance of Dr.L.Ganesan, Principal, Dr.S.Rajakarunakaran, Vice-principal, Mr.K.S.Selvaraj, GM(A), Dr.K.Vijayalakshmi, HOD/CSE, coordinated by Dr.R.Venkatesh, Associate Professor/CSE and Mrs.A.Sofia Thanga Mary(AP/CSE).

The Student Chapter of RIT Clustra and IE(I)-RIT CSE organized a Guest Lecture on Career Guidance in Data Engineering on February 10, 2024. 85 students from the first, second, and final CSE actively participated in this program. Mr.Manoj Sakkaravarthi Sankaranaranyanan, Principal Data Engineer, and Mr. Cooper were the resource persons for the guest lecture. The guest lecture on data engineering provided a comprehensive exploration of the key concepts, tools, and challenges in the field of data engineering. The presenter, Mr.Manoj Sakkaravarthi, an expert in the field and principal data engineer, delivered an insightful presentation that covered various aspects of data engineering. The session was organized by Dr.R. Venkatesh, Associate Professor/CSE; A. Sofia Thanga Mary, AP/CSE; and S. Vijaya Amala Devi, AP/CSE.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering Association RIT-CLUSTRA carried out its CODECRAFT Uniting Programmers Technical Event on programming skills successfully on 30.10.2023 and 31.10.2023 for all the II year CSE students. The event co-ordinators wrote the constraints, test cases, and regulations for the participants on the presentation. The event was organized by Ms. Ragavi V G, R. Shri Deiva Final year CSE Students and Vignesh Mano S, Kartheeswari M, Ms. Muthulakshmi M III Year CSE students. This event was attended by 25 students from RIT-CLUSTRA. Dheetchana K and Sathasin P, won the event I, II place respectively. Technical Association President, Dr.K.Vijayalakshmi, HOD/CSE, and Faculty Advisor, Mrs. A. Sofia Thanga Mary, AP /CSE, have coordinated the event.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Ramco Institute of Technology (RIT) recently organized an enlightening online guest lecture on the subject of "Unravelling the Art of Encryption: Cryptography in Web Security." This event, part of the RIT-CLUSTRA series, attracted the participation of approximately 100 enthusiastic students. The lecture, held on October 28, 2023, featured two distinguished resource persons from the United States. Charan Akiri, a Cloud Application Security Architect, Reddit Inc Nasville and Chinmay Sahu, a Computer Vision Research Scientist, Thales DIS, USA, Inc, graciously shared their expertise and insights with the eager audience. They discussed the challenges, innovations, and real-world implications of encryption technologies. The session was organized under the guidance of Dr.L.Ganesan, Principal, Dr.S.Rajakarunakaran, Vice-principal, Mr.K.S.Selvaraj, GM(A), Dr.K.Vijayalakshmi, HOD/CSE, coordinated by Dr.R.Venkatesh, Associate Professor/CSE.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering Association, 'RIT-CLUSTRA,' successfully conducted its Inaugural Function for the academic year 2023-2024 on 14.10.2023, which was graced by a valuable Guest Lecture on Goal Setting & Achievement by Ms.Muthamizh Selvi Manoharan, Senior Manager Training at HCL Technologies, Madurai. 200 students from all four academic years, including I, II, III, and IV, enthusiastically participated in this event, which took place at the Shri. PRR Seminar Hall.The Guest Lecture delivered by Muthamizh Selvi Manoharan was the highlight of the event. She shared invaluable insights on the significance of Goal Setting, both short-term and long-term. Her guidance on achieving these goals resonated with the students, emphasizing the importance of a structured approach. The focus on SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound) goal setting provided a practical framework that can be applied academically and in personal and professional development.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Ramco Institute of Technology, Rajapalayam, organized an a one-day Workshop on "Mastering Digital Marketing: Tools and Techniques" on 10.08.2023. The hands-on session on analyze weekly/quarterly newsletter and how it aids its potential customer segments, Google keyword planner tool, Google Web Masters Indexing API, Managing Leads, Negative and Positive impacts, and ethical implications of using Social Media and Marketing Automation was handled by Mr.Senthil Kumar V P, Creative Director, V S Innovations, Madurai. 60 Student members from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering actively participated in this session and benefited from it. The entire workshop was coordinated by Dr.R.Venkatesh, Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Ramco Institute of Technology, Rajapalayam. under the guidance of Dr.L.Ganesan, Principal, Dr.S.Rajakarunakaran, Vice-Principal, Mr.K.Selvaraj, GM(Admin) and Dr.K.Vijayalakshmi, Professor & Head, CSE.

RIT- Career Guidance Cell and RIT-RedHat Academy jointly organizes Awareness Program on Means to Make the Students - Industry Ready on 09.08.2023 for all second and third year students.
The Guest Speakers Mr.Ranjit Sengupta , M.D & C.E.O , Advantage Pro- Vectra Technosoft Pvt. Ltd, Chennai and J.S.Sukumar, Industry Institute Initiative, Consultant, Red Hat, Advantage Pro, Chennai. An esteemed industry experts delivered a keynote address, highlighting the significance of industry readiness in today's competitive world. The panel of experienced professionals from Redhat Certified industries engaged in a discussion on the key skills and qualities that make students stand out to potential employers on open source platforms. 15 third-year CSE, 11 second year CSE, 16 third-year ECE, 8 second year CSBS students attended this training. Students had the opportunity to interact with the panelists and guest speakers, asking questions and seeking advice on career development.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering Association, RIT-CLUSTRA, organized a Technical Quiz Event for First year CSE students on 04.07.2023. 30 students were actively participating in this event. A total of 30 technical questions were prepared and divided among the students into 13 batches. Three rounds were conducted, and from each round, batches were filtered for the next round based on their scores. The faculty coordinators are Dr.R.Venkatesh and Mrs.K.Jeyageetha. The student coordinators are Harini P, Arun T, Saranya R, and Kavya V. Twenty-nine students participated. The winners are Karthick Sri Ram A and Srinivasa Balan. The runners are Sanjay P. and Jeffrin Samual.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering Association RIT-CLUSTRA carried out its Coding Buddy Technical event on programming skills successfully on 03.03.2023 for all the III year CSE students. The event co-ordinators wrote the constraints, test cases, and regulations for the participants on the presentation. The event was organized by Mr.P.Sivakumar, III CSE, Mr. G.Sivagurunathan, III CSE. This event was attended by 62 students from RIT-CLUSTRA. Mr. Harsha R, Ms. Saravana Jothi G and Mr. Jothi Lingapandian M, III year CSE, won the event I, II, III place respectively. Technical Association President, Dr.K.Vijayalakshmi, HOD/CSE, and Faculty Advisor, Mr.R.Venkatesh, AP (SG)/CSE, have coordinated the event.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering Association RIT-CLUSTRA carried out its Competence Hunting event on aptitude and logical skills testing successfully on 24.02.2023 for all the III year CSE students. It has enhanced their aptitude and logical skills. The event co-ordinators wrote the constraints, test cases, and regulations for the participants on the presentation. The event was organized by Ms.Harini M, IV CSE, MS.Sangeetha P, IV CSE, Mr. Sivakumar P, III CSE. This event was attended by 60 students from RIT-CLUSTRA. Ms.Harinisrivalli V, Ms. Divya M K and Ms.Sarumathi M, III year CSE, won the hunting event I, II, III place respectively. Technical Association President, Dr.K.Vijayalakshmi, HOD/CSE, and Faculty Advisor, Mr.R.Venkatesh, AP (SG)/CSE, have coordinated the event.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering Association RIT-CLUSTRA carried out its Hotspot Technical event on programming skills successfully on 09.02.2023 for all the I & II year CSE students. The event co-ordinators wrote the constraints, test cases, and regulations for the participants on the presentation. The event was organized by Mr.P.Sivakumar, III CSE, Mr. G.Sivagurunathan, III CSE. This event was attended by 25 students from RIT-CLUSTRA. Mr. Karthikeyan K, I year CSE, and Ms. Sivaranjani G, I year CSE, won the event I, II, III place respectively. Technical Association President, Dr.K.Vijayalakshmi, HOD/CSE, and Faculty Advisor, Mr.R.Venkatesh, AP (SG)/CSE, have coordinated the event.

Department of Computer Science and Engineering Association RIT-CLUSTRA, RIT- Career Guidance Cell and RIT-RedHat Academy jointly organizes Redhat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) course training during 28.10.2022 to 04.11.2022 for third year CSE students.
The Trainers Mr.Madhan, Lead Trainer, Mr.Prithiviraj G, Trainer,Mr.Sivasankaran, Trainer, Advantage Pro, Vectra Technosoft Private Limited, Chennai, trained our third year students on the RHCSA global certification examination.

Department of Computer Science and Engineering Association RIT-CLUSTRA, RIT- Career Guidance Cell and RIT-RedHat Academy jointly organizes Redhat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) course examination and guest lecture on Step into DEVOPS World on 04.11.2022 for third year CSE students and Internal & External Faculty Members.
The Chief Guest Mr.Amel Mathai, Senior Manager, Customer Success, Red Hat Training, India/South Asia, delivered Exam to the students and a Guest Lecture on Step into DEVOPS World for the III-year CSE students and Faculty Members. 15 students, 5 faculties from Rajapalayam Rajus College, 1 faculty from VHNSAK College and 8 faculties from RIT participated in this guest lecture.

In Ramco Institute of Technology, Rajapalayam, the Department of Computer Science and Engineering in association with RIT-Clustra and IE(I) organized a technical session on Resiliency Engineering on 21.09.2022 at 9.00am for I, II, III and IV year students. The resource person of the guest lecture is, Mr. K Jeeva Karthik, Senior Manager, Ernst & Young, US. He briefly explained about the necessity of resilience engineering and described the platforms where it is used in IT industry and day to-day activities. The objective of the guest lecture was to focus on the capacity to recover from a fault and maintain service persistence reliability even in the presence of faults which would helpful for academic and placement. He also explained the expectations of IT sector. He encouraged the students to do project based learning. Finally, he concluded the session by mentioning the importance of resiliency engineering in a day today activities The guest lecture was coordinately organized by Dr.V.Anusuya, ASCP/CSE, Dr.R.Venkatesh, AP(SG)/CSE, Mrs.G. Mareeswari, AP/CSE under the guidance of Dr.K.Vijayalakshmi, Professor & Head/CSE.

Department of Computer Science and Engineering Association RIT-CLUSTRA carried out its inaugural function successfully along with a Guest Lecture by Mr.Kandha Vivek Raj K, Member Technical Staff, Zoho Corporation Pvt., Ltd Madurai on 17.09.2022. The Chief Guest delivered a Guest Lecture on Recent trends in Information and Computing Technology for the II-year and III-year CSE students. 100 students participated in this guest lecture. Ms. Anitha, II Year CSE welcomed the gathering. Ms. Sophiasree K, IV year CSE, read out RIT-CLUSTRAs Annual plan for the Academic Year 2022-2023. Inaugural function was successfully completed with the Vote of Thanks delivered by Ms.Ragavi VG, III year CSE. The Technical Association President, Dr.K.Vijayalakshmi, HOD/CSE and Faculty Advisor, Dr.R.Venkatesh, AP (SG)/CSE, have coordinated the event.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering Association RIT-Clustra, IE (I) CSE and RIT Alumni Association jointly organized a Guest Lecture on "SCRUM AGILE FRAMEWORK" and this lecture was delivered by Ms. M. Muthu Lakshmi, (Batch 2014-2018), Software Engineer, Solartis, Madurai on 16.04.2022.

The Department of Computer Science, RIT-Clustra, and RIT Alumni Association jointly organized a Technical Paper Presentation Event on Recent Technologies for II-Year CSE Students on January 22, 2022. Mr.Kata Bhart, Assistant System Engineer Trainee, Tata Consultancy Services, Chennai, was the reviewer for this event. A total of eight batches from second year CSE participated in this paper presentation event. Mr. R.N.Balamurali Krishna and Mr. R. Harsha of II CSE won the event in I and II places, respectively. Technical Association President, Dr.K.Vijayalakshmi, HOD/CSE, and Faculty Advisor, Mr.R.Venkatesh, AP (SG)/CSE, have coordinated the event.

Department of Computer Science and Engineering in association with RIT Clustra and Alumni Association organized a Webinar on Fields in CS for First Year CSE Students on 26.11.2021 at 03.00PM through Google Meet. Around 42 students of first year CSE were actively participated in this programme. The resource persons of the programme was Ms.S.Yeshwanthini, Graduate Engineer Trainee - IT, Ramco Cements, Chennai. She elaborated about the important engineering topics in CS, programming languages and the application of each programming languages in real world. She also insisted about content writing and project development. The participants were actively attended the sessions and expressed that the programme was very informative.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering Association RIT-CLUSTRA carried out its Coding Contest event successfully on 11.10.2021 for all the II & III year CSE students. The participants are provided with complex, moderate and easy level technical questions on the hacker rank platform. Those problems can be solved by using any one of the programming languages like Python, C, or Java. The coding questions are shared by the event coordinators through the hacker rank platform.The event co-ordinators wrote the constraints, test cases, and regulations for the participants on the hacker rank platform. The event was organized by Mr.Nanneboina Sumanth, IV CSE, Mr.Rahini, IV CSE, Ms.Sophiasree K, III CSE, Ms.S.Shanmugapriya, II CSE, Mr.Jothi Lingapandian M. This event was attended by 51 students from RIT-CLUSTRA. Ms. Sangeetha P, III year CSE, Mr. Muthu Kumar K, II year CSE, and Ms. Yuvaasri R K, III year CSE, won the event I, II, III place respectively. The Department of Computer Science and Engineering Association RIT-CLUSTRA carried out its Technical Quiz on programming event successfully on 16.09.2021 for the II & III year CSE students. The event co-ordinators explained the rules and regulations to the participants. The event was organized by Mr.Nanneboina Sumanth, IV CSE and Mr. Essakiraja A of IV CSE. 20 students from members of RIT- CLUSTRA participated in this event. Mr. R.N Balamurali Krishna, Mr. J.Paranthaman, and Mr.P.Sivakumar of II CSE won the event I, II, III place respectively. Technical Association President, Dr.K.Vijayalakshmi, HOD/CSE, and Faculty Advisor, Mr.R.Venkatesh, AP (SG)/CSE, have coordinated the event.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering Association RIT-CLUSTRA carried out its Group Discussion event successfully on 08.09.2021 which is a discussion forum. It has enhanced their communication and confidence while attending their placements. The discussion topics were shared by the event co-ordinators 10 minutes before the start of the event. Based on their interests, the students selected the titles. The event co-ordinators explained the dos and donts to the participants. The event was organised by Ms.Aswini B, IV CSE and Ms.Vaishnavi of IV CSE. 21 students from members of RIT-CLUSTRA participated in this event, and Dr. M. Anand, ASP/English, judged the event. Ms. G.Lakshmi Priya, Mr. R.Harsha of II CSE, and Ms.M.Harini, Mr.K.Krishna of III year CSE won the event. Department of Computer Science and Engineering Association "RIT-CLUSTRA" carried out its inaugural function successfully along with a Guest Lecture on Recent trends in Artificial intelligence and Data science by Mr.Arun Kumar S, Sr. Research Scientist, Amazon, Chennai on 28.08.2021. Ms.Rajalakshmi R U, II Year CSE welcomed the gathering. Ms.Vishnu Prabha, IV year CSE,, read out RIT-CLUSTRAs Annual plan for the Academic Year 2021-2022 which includes the plan for Technical Quiz Competition, Guest Lecture on Cryptography and Networking, Value added Course, Gaming Event on Soft Skills, Mini Project Expo, Math Puzzles and Logical thinking Event, Mock Interview etc. Ms.C.Muthuaruna, III year CSE introduced the chief guest.
