Events Organized
Ramco Institute of Technology in association with Training and Placement Centre, RIT Alumni Association and Department of Computer Science and Engineering organized the Placement talk on Strategy to get into EmbedUR through the Google Meet platform on May 08, 2022 8.00 pm. Around 70 students actively participate in the talk. Ms.R.Siva Ranjini Software Engineer, EmbedUR, Chennai, and Alumni of CSE( Batch 2017-2021) explained the test pattern of the online EmbedUR and shared her experience of writing the exam. She discussed the methods and tricks to get success in an online test and also shared how to prepare for the software company interviews she discussed the benefits of doing Mini projects and advice the students to be confident. The participants expressed that the talk was highly communicating and beneficial. Mrs. M.Swarna Sudha Assistant professor of CSE genuinely conveyed gratitude to alumni student for her support. The program was coordinated by Mrs.M.Swarna Sudha AP(SG)/CSE and Ms.G.Sakthi Priya AP(SG)/CSE.
Ramco Institute of Technology in association with Training and Placement Centre, RIT Alumni Association and Department of Computer Science and Engineering organized the "Placement talk on Tips for Interview through the Google Meet platform on May 09, 2022 8.00 pm. The resource person of the program Ms A. Vaishnavi and Ms M. Rithika (Batch 2018-2022) doing internship in Vuram Technology. Around 65 students actively participate in the talk. They explained the test pattern of the Vuram online test and shared their experience of writing the test. Dr.K.Vijayalakshmi, Professor & Head of CSE suggested the students give tips for preparation in short duration. The participants expressed that the talk was highly enlightening and useful. The Department sincerely expressed its thankfulness to students for their presence and information. The program was coordinated by Mrs. M.Swarna Sudha AP(SG)/CSE and N.Nithya AP/CSE.

Around 78 students actively participate in the talk. Mr.S.Srikanth Mr.A P Nithin Jerish , Alumni of CSE( Batch 2015-2019) explained the test pattern of Ramco systems and shared their experience of writing the exam. Instructed the students to work hard and prepared for placement. They also elaborated the details about the various topics in the online first round test. They also discussed tricks to get success in an online test and also shared how to prepare for the software company interviews .The talk was coordinated by Mrs .M.Swarna Sudha AP(SG)/CSE and Mr.C.A.Yogaraja AP/CSE. The Mrs N.Nithya AP/CSE sincerely expressed its appreciation to alumni students for their presence.
The Department of Computer Science, RIT-Clustra, and RIT Alumni Association jointly organized a Technical Paper Presentation Event on Recent Technologies for II-Year CSE Students on January 22, 2022. Mr.Kata Bhart, Assistant System Engineer Trainee, Tata Consultancy Services, Chennai, was the reviewer for this event. A total of eight batches from second year CSE participated in this paper presentation event. Mr. R.N.Balamurali Krishna and Mr. R. Harsha of II CSE won the event in I and II places, respectively. Technical Association President, Dr.K.Vijayalakshmi, HOD/CSE, and Faculty Advisor, Mr.R.Venkatesh, AP (SG)/CSE, have coordinated the event.
Department of Computer Science and Engineering in association with RIT Clustra and Alumni Association organized a Webinar on Fields in CS for First Year CSE Students on 26.11.2021 at 03.00PM through Google Meet. Around 42 students of first year CSE were actively participated in this programme. The resource persons of the programme was Ms.S.Yeshwanthini, Graduate Engineer Trainee - IT, Ramco Cements, Chennai. She elaborated about the important engineering topics in CS, programming languages and the application of each programming languages in real world. She also insisted about content writing and project development. The participants were actively attended the sessions and expressed that the programme was very informative.

Ms.Amirtha, interacted with the students by sharing her four years of college experience. She motivated the students to participate in both curricular and extra-curricular activities. Mr.Hariharan, insisted the students have the habit of self learning. Students enquired about How the technology studied in 4 years of engineering is useful in the IT industry? and asked to share his interview experience. He answered and motivated the students to get placed in a reputed company.
Around 120 students actively interacted in the session. Finally the session ended with vote of thanks by Ms.P.Jothi Thilaga, AP/CSE.

Krishnavi Associate Software Engineer Accenture Chennai, Alumni of CSE( Batch 2017-2021) explained the test pattern of Accenture and shared their experience of writing the exam. Directed the students to work hard and prepared for placement. They also elaborated the details about the various rounds in the recruitment process. They discussed tricks to get success in an online interview and also shared how to prepare for the software company interviews .The talk was coordinated by Mrs .M.Swarna Sudha AP(SG)/CSE and Mrs .B. Dr.K.Vijaya lakshmi, Professor and Head welcomed the gathering and gave an introduction about chief guest, Mr.K.Arivarasan, Pursuing M.Tech CSE, IIT Dhandbad (Batch 2013-2017). Students enquired the importance of Problem solving, how to improve logical thinking, importance of programming. Resource person suggested a few programming platforms like Hacker rank, code chef, Leet code and advised to practice regularly and have a consistency in solving problems. Importance of Algorithms is highlighted to become a good CS Engineer. Problems in Leet code and hacker rank related to Data structures and Algorithms were discussed.
Department of Computer Science and Engineering in association with Alumni Association organized a Workshop on Introduction to React Js with Git and Surge for II and III year CSE students on 11.09.2021 at 11.30am. The resource person of the program is Mr.P.Vinoth Rajan, Software Engineer, Tech Mahindra (Batc 2014-2018). Basic introduction of HTML and CSS, Importance of Java scripts, Need of React JS and comparison of a website With and Without React JS was demonstrated detailly using visual studio. The importance of State and Props in ReactJs was highlighted. Git and its commands were demonstrated along with its purpose. Around 100 students actively participated. Mr.K.M Eswer Alumni of the 2014 batch and member of the Technical staff of Zoho corporation has presented tips for designing software and the importance of Object-oriented programming in the software. The students actively participated and learned about the use of the object-oriented concept. Ms.M.Harini and Mr. M. The resource person, Mr.B.Arshathkhan, Team Leader, Amazon, and Chennai (Alumni of Batch 2014) shared his experience and knowledge in the field of Software Test Automation.
