WORKSHOP AND SEMINARS
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Ramco Institute of Technology, in association with the RIT_CSE_Digital Marketing Club Wolfas, organized a Hands-on Session on Website Development for I Year CSE students on 24.01.2026 at PRR Hall, RIT. The session focused on introducing students to the fundamentals of website development and modern development practices using vibe coding. The session was handled by Mr. Anish Kumar, III Year CSE-A, Ramco Institute of Technology, who is a First Place winner of the HCL Techs Hackathon Ideate 2 Innovate Design Thinking Challenge. He demonstrated website development techniques and guided students through practical hands-on activities. The session was interactive and helped students gain practical exposure to web development and emerging digital technologies. The workshop was coordinated by the faculties Mrs.C.Krishnakala,AP/CSE and Ms.M.Mahalakshmi under the guidance of the Head of the Department Dr.K.Vijayalakshmi.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Ramco Institute of Technology, in association with the ACM, organized a Workshop on Animation from 3D to VFX on 12 March 2026 through hybrid mode for Internal students and External Students. The workshop aims to introduce students to the fundamentals of animation and visual effects, highlighting the technologies, tools, and career opportunities available in the animation and VFX industry. The session will focus on providing practical insights into animation workflows and how students can begin developing skills in this creative and rapidly growing field. The session was handled by the resource person Mr.Raakesh Manoharan Ram, CGI Director | VFX Supervisor, A total of 100 students participated in the workshop. The event was coordinated by Dr. A. Sivanesh Kumar ASP / CSE and Mrs. Krishnakal, AP / CSE, and conducted under the leadership of Dr. K. Vijayalakshmi, HOD/CSE.
The Department of CSE in association with the IE(I) Institution of Engineers (India), organized a two days hands on Workshop on the topic Augment your Imagination: Build your AR world to 48 school students who have completed XII standard from P.A.C. Mat. Hr. Sec. School, P.A.C.R Ammani Ammals Gr. Hr. Sec. School, A.K.D.R Gr. Hr. Sec. School, Ananda Vidhyalaya Matric. Hr. Sec. School, Perundhalaivar Kamarajar Matric. Hr. Sec. School, N. A. Annappa Raja Memorial School, Hindu Hr. Sec. School, Sri Ramana Vidhyalaya Mont. Matric. Hr. Sec. School, Srivi Lions Matric. Hr. Sec. School, The Sivakasi Matric. Hr. Sec. School, Chinmaya Vidhyalaya P.A.C.R School, Nadar Hr. Sec. School, Vinayagar Matric. Hr. Sec. School, A. P. Matriculation School, SHN Edward Hr. Sec. School, and CVSLR Matric Hr. Sec. School. The workshop took place on 28.04.2025 & 29.04.2025 from 09:30 AM to 4:30 PM. The resource person for the event was Ms. P. Rajarajeswari, AP/CSE, Ramco Institute of Technology. With extensive experience in Augmented and Virtual reality, Ms. P. Rajarajeswari provided valuable insights in transitioning students from an academic environment to a corporate setting. The sessions were coordinated by Dr. M. Swarna Sudha, ASP/CSE, Mrs. S. Manjula, AP(SG)/CSE, and Mrs. C. Krishnakala, AP/CSE.
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Ramco Institute of Technology, Rajapalayam in association with Computer Society of India and Institution of Engineering, organized a Two-day Workshop on Hands-on Workshop on ML, DL and GenAI on 24.10.2024 and 25.10.2024 at CSE Seminar Hall. Dr.Sundarsun Sathiappan, Co-Founder and Chief Scientific Officer, Buddy AI, Chennai, was the resource person for the workshop. Participants were exposed to topics like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Types of Regressions and evaluation metrics, GAN, Generative AI and building NanoGPT. 114 students of second year CSE, CSBS, AIDS and IT departments actively participated in this program. The event was coordinated by Mr.K. Vignesh Saravanan, AP(SG)/CSE, Ms.G.Sakthi Priya, AP/CSE and Ms.P.Rajarajeswari, AP/CSE under the guidance of Dr. K. Vijayalakshmi, Professor & Head/CSE.
A workshop on High Performance Computing with the aim of fostering Awareness Workshop on High-Performance Computing (HPC) among students of Technical Education was organized by CSE ACM Student Chapter and Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Ramco Institute of Technology, Rajapalayam, Tamil Nadu on 03.09.2024 from 10:00 am to 01:00 pm at CSE Seminar hall. A comprehensive workshop on High-Performance Computing (HPC) was held, with 112 third-year and second-year CSE students participating. The event was coordinated by Dr. R. Venkatesh, along with Mr. Mohanganesh M, Ms. Dhivyabharathi G, and Ms. Sakthi Sundari G, II CSE student members of the ACM Student Chapter, under the guidance of Dr. K. Vijayalakshmi. The keynote speaker, Dr. S. Priyadharsini, CDAC-HPC Master Trainer from Mepco Schlenk Engineering College, Sivakasi, delivered an insightful session on key HPC topics, including OpenMP, MPI, CUDA, and OpenAcc, with practical examples.
In Ramco Institute of Technology, Rajapalayam, the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology and Computer Science and Business Systems in association with RIT-CSI organized a Workshop on Bootstrap on 23.09.2023. 69 students from II year CSE, CSBS and IT were participated in this workshop. The resource person of the workshop is Mr.S.Manikandan, CEO, Geon Logix Pvt Ltd, Madurai. He briefly explained about the topics HTML elements, JavaScript, CSS framework, bootstrap components for buttons, cards, dropdowns, input groups, navigation bars and hands-on sessions. The event was coordinated by Mrs.B.Vijayalakshmi, AP(SG)/CSE and Mr.K.Vignesh Saravanan, AP(SG)/CSE. The student coordinators are Mr.K.Karthikeyan II CSE, Ms.M.Samritha Sree Harini, II IT and Ms.V.Anusiya, II CSBS.
Training & Placement Centre, Department of CSE, CSBS and IT of Ramco Institute of Technology, jointly organized a Two Day Industry Oriented International Workshop on Oracle APEX for III year students of CSE, ECE and EEE from 23.08.2023 to 24.08.2023. Totally 60 students of CSE, ECE and EEE were actively participated in this workshop. The resource persons are Mr.KarkuvelrajaThangamariappan, Director - Training & Special Projects @ INOAUG and Ms.Sujitha Jayaraman,System Analyst, Hexaware Technologies. The participants expressed that the workshop was very much interesting and informative. Certificates were distributed to all the participants. The programme was conducted under the guidance of Placement Coordinator Mrs.K.Uthra, Dr.K.Vijayalakshmi, Prof. & Head/CSE, Dr.M.Gomathy Nayagam, ASP & Head/CSBS and Dr.V.Anusuya, ASP & Head/IT.
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Ramco Institute of Technology, Rajapalayam, organized an Inauguration of the Department of CSE Association RIT-Clustra and a one-day Workshop on "Mastering Digital Marketing: Tools and Techniques" on 10.08.2023. The hands-on session on analyze weekly/quarterly newsletter and how it aids its potential customer segments, Google keyword planner tool, Google Web Masters Indexing API, Managing Leads, Negative and Positive impacts, and ethical implications of using Social Media and Marketing Automation was handled by Mr.Senthil Kumar V P, Creative Director, V S Innovations, Madurai. 60 Student members from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering actively participated in this session and benefited from it. The entire workshop was coordinated by Dr.R.Venkatesh, Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Ramco Institute of Technology, Rajapalayam. under the guidance of Dr.L.Ganesan, Principal, Dr.S.Rajakarunakaran, Vice-Principal, Mr.K.Selvaraj, GM(Admin) and Dr.K.Vijayalakshmi, Professor & Head, CSE.
Department of Computer Science and Engineering organized a Workshop on Big Data Analytics on 09 August 2023. The resource person for this session was Mrs. M.Blessa Binolin Pepsi, AP(SG)/IT, Mepco Schlenk Engineering college, Sivakasi . Welcome address and chief guest introduction was delivered by Dr.K.Vijayalakshmi, Prof & Head/CSE. Then the session was handed over to the resource person. She started her lecture from installation of Hadoop in Ubuntu followed by Map reduce concept and other integrated tools. Then she explained about Hbase, Pig and Hive installation and working environment. This workshop was coordinated by Dr.I.Gethzi Ahila Poornima AP(SG)/CSE, & Ms.P.Jothi Thilaga, AP(SG)/CSE under the guidance of Dr.K.Vijayalakshmi, Professor & Head/CSE.
Department of Computer Science and Engineering in association with IE student chapter and RIT Placement Centre, organized one Day Workshop on "Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM and Power Platform (Power Apps" for 2nd year CSE Students on 11.02.2023. The resource person of the workshop was Mr. R.Vinoth Kumar Senior Application Developer, ADP India. 63 students of II Year CSE actively participated in this workshop. The resource person gave a lecture on overview of Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM and Power Platform and gave a hands on session. The participants expressed that the workshop was very much interesting and informative Ms.M.Shanmuga Priya, Ms.A.Praveena, Mr.M.Maheshkumar, Mr.A.Vishnu are the student coordinators in organizing the event. The workshop was coordinated by faculty in charges Mrs.G.Mareeswari, AP/CSE, Mrs.T.Shruthi, AP/CSE and Mrs.K.Jeyagetha, AP/CSE under the guidance of Dr.K. Vijayalakshmi, HOD/CSE.
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering in association with CSI Students Chapter organized a two-day workshop on Flutter during 19.01.2023 to 20.01.2023 for 32 students from II and III Year CSE. Mr.T.Bharath, Doshi Private Limited, London acted as a resource person for the workshop.
RIT-CSE in association with CSI conducted a workshop on "Gaming in Python" for I year CSE students on 18.01.2023. Mrs.M.Swarna Sudha, AP(SG)/CSE, and Mrs.S.Manjula, AP/CSE, served as workshop resource persons. They delivered the topics such as fundamental concepts of the tkinter interface, GUI methods, and a hands-on session on creating a GUI for gaming applications. In addition to that simple logical games that were created using tKinter were explained. In the query session students clarified various doubts and ideas regarding the tKinter with the resource person. As a summary of the whole session resource persons revised all the concepts and properties that were covered throughout the session.
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering organized a Five Days Workshop on "ROBOTIC PROCESS AUTOMATION" on the following dates: 15.12.2022, 17.12.2022, 19.12.2022, 21.12.2022, and 23.12.2022 for I Year CSE, CSBS, IT Students. The resource persons of the workshop were Dr.M.Gomathy Nayagam, ASCP/CSE, Mrs.B.Vijayalakshmi, AP(SG)/CSE, Mr.K.Vignesh Saravanan, AP/CSE, Ramco Institute of Technology,Rajapalayam. 40 students from I Year CSE, CSBS, IT students were actively participated in this workshop. The resource persons gave a Hands-on Training on extracting data from webpage and storing data in word or excel format, Screen scrapping, webpage scrapping, and automatic login into any web portal. All the participants gave positive feedback about the workshop and asked to conduct a similar kind of programme with a more hands-on session. The workshop was coordinated by Mr. K. Vignesh Saravanan, AP/CSE & Ms. P.Jothi Thilaga, AP/CSE under the guidance of Dr.K.Vijayalakshmi, HOD/CSE.
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering in association with ISTE organized a Five Days Workshop on "Front End Development" on the following dates: 15.12.2022, 17.12.2022, 19.12.2022, 21.12.2022, and 23.12.2022 for I Year CSE, CSBS, IT Students. The resource persons of the workshop were Dr.V.Anusuya, ASCP/CSE, Mrs.S.Manjula, AP/CSE, Mr.C.A.Yogaraja,AP/CSE and Ms.G.Sakthi Priya, AP/CSE, Ramco Institute of Technology ,Rajapalayam. 110 students from I Year CSE, CSBS, IT students were actively participated in this workshop. The resource persons gave a lecture on HTML, CSS with a hands-on session. The participants expressed that the workshop was created very much interest to develop front end application. Certificates were distributed to all the participants. Department of CSE, IT, CSBS in association with IE(I)-CSE organized 5 Days Workshop on Linux Architecture and Commands for I Year CSE, IT, CSBS Students on (15,17,19,21,23 December 2022 during 03.00 PM to 05.00 PM. 39 students from I year CSE, IT, CSBS participated in this event. The resource person for the workshop was Dr. R. Venkatesh AP(SG)/CSE and Mrs. G. Mareeswari AP/CSE. The workshop is conducted for 5 days and at the end of the last day assessment is conducted based on Linux commands. The feedback from the students regarding the event was excellent.
Department of CSE in association with IE(I)-CSE organized 5 Days Workshop on Communication Methodology for I Year CSE, IT, CSBS Students on (15,17,19,21,23 December 2022 during 03.00 PM to 05.00 PM. 12 students from I year CSE, IT, CSBS participated in this event. The resource person for the workshop was Dr. I. Getzhi Ahila Poornima AP/CSE and Dr. K. Vivekrabinson AP/CSE. The workshop is conducted for 5 days and at the end of the last day feedback is collected from the participants. The students gave very good feedback about the event.
Department of CSE & EEE in association with CSI Students chapter & IEEE Student Branch organized a Workshop on Arduino and IoT for II Year CSE Students during 11.08.2022 to 13.08.2022 (Afternoon Session). The resource persons of the programme was Mr.A.Arun Kumar, AP/EEE, Mrs.S.Jeyanthi, AP/EEE and Ms.S.Sharmila Kumari, AP/EEE. They elaborated about Arduino, and also they provided a hands-on session on LED Blinking, Serial Monitor, Interfacing of IR sensor & PIR sensor, and Interfacing of ultrasonic and flame sensor. They also explained about IoT and Bluetooth control. The participants were actively attended the sessions and expressed that the workshop was very interesting and informative. Department of CSE in association with IE(I)-CSE organized a Workshop on Robotic Process Automation for II Year CSE Students during 11.08.2022 to 13.08.2022 (Forenoon Session). The resource persons of the programme was Dr.M.Gomathy Nayagam, ASP/CSE and Mr.K.Vignesh Saravanan, AP/CSE. They elaborated about the RPA services, applications, needs and about the UiPath community studio installation. They provided a hands-on session on Hello message automation, Notepad automation, Online form filling automation, Web scraping and capturing data, and Automation of movie rating identification. The participants were actively attended the sessions and expressed that the workshop was very useful and interesting. Ms.P.Jothi Thilaga, AP/CSE and Mrs.S.Manjula, AP/CSE coordinated the workshop.
Department of Computer Science and Engineering in association with RIT Clustra and Alumni Association organized a Webinar on Fields in CS for First Year CSE Students on 26.11.2021 at 03.00PM through Google Meet. Around 42 students of first year CSE were actively participated in this programme. The resource persons of the programme was Ms.S.Yeshwanthini, Graduate Engineer Trainee - IT, Ramco Cements, Chennai. She elaborated about the important engineering topics in CS, programming languages and the application of each programming languages in real world. She also insisted about content writing and project development. The participants were actively attended the sessions and expressed that the programme was very informative.
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, in association with RIT-Clustra, Student Technical association, Ramco Institute of Technology, organized valedictory function and a webinar on "Wings to Career Aspirations" on 16.08.2021 (Monday) from 03.00 PM to 04.30 PM. Mr.P.Kumarasamy, Cloud Architect, Tata Consultancy Services, Chennai, delivered a valedictory address and a lecture on Wings to Career Aspirations. He has explained the various opportunities, roles in software industries, and trending technologies available in the CSE domain for CSE graduates, and the steps to be taken by the students during the course to get a good career and the top sectors requiring CSE graduates. Totally, 80 CSE students from II and III years and 12 faculty members attended the webinar.
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering in association with the CSI organized a webinar on Object Detection Hands-On Practice on 18 March 2021. The resource person is our college CSI student representative of the final year Ms.P.Rajarajeswari. Students were introduced to Popular Datasets for Object Detection and were made to customize the Dataset creation and annotation. Students had practice on Object Detection using different algorithms and hands-on exercises on the YOLO model. Ms. Swathy Santhosh and Ms. Shriya R of II CSE were coordinators of the event. The students from the Second year and Third year of CSE attended the webinar. Around 60 students actively participated. The participants expressed that the webinar was highly interactive and useful.
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (RIT-CLUSTRA) organized a two-day workshop on Capstone Project: Deep Learning in association with IE(I)-CSE Students chapter on 18th Jan 2021 and 19th Jan 2021. The student of final year CSE, Ms. P Rajarajeswari as resource person delivered hands-on training to the third and second-year students of Computer Science and Engineering. In the first day session of the workshop, she gave a short introduction to common terminologies in AI/ML & DL, a quick revision of python libraries, and ANN case studies. In the second day session of the workshop, she covered CNN and RNN with hands-on. Students have learned all the Deep Learning concepts in task-based learning. Total 82 numbers of participants (including II and III years) CSE students were participated and get benefited. The Workshop was coordinated by Dr.M.Kaliappan, Professor/CSE, Dr.M.Gomathy Nayagam, AP(SG)/CSE, Mr.R.Venkatesh, AP(SG)/CSE and Mr.C.A.Yogaraja, AP/CSE.
Webinar on Profile Carving
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (RIT-CLUSTRA), Ramco Institute of Technology, organized a webinar on Profile Carving on 20 Dec. 2020 for I, II, III, and IV year students of the Computer Science and Engineering Department. Mr.T.Sudalaimuthu, Consultant, Software AG Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Chennai delivered the lecture to prepare the resume for the students. He evaluated the sample resume prepared by our students and gave the suggestion about dos and donts in resume preparation. 82 students of Computer Science and Engineering department were got benefited.
Strategy to get a Successful Professional Career
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Ramco Institute of Technology organized Virtual Webinar on Strategy to get a Successful Professional Career in association CSI Students Chapter on 23rd July 2020 from 06.00 PM to 07:00 PM. The resource person Asmitha RaviKumar, Associate Technical Consultant, Vuram Technology Solution, Alumni (2014 Batch) discussed the methods and tricks to get success in professional career and also shared how to prepare for the software company interviews and significance of doing online courses. Also, she discussed the benefits of doing Mini projects and advice the students to actively participate in all the events organized by the Department and encouraged the students to organize the events to develop the leadership Quality. 100 participants from various Departments participated actively through Google meet. The participants expressed that the webinar was highly enlightening and useful. The Webinar was coordinated by Mrs.M.Swarna Sudha AP(SG)/CSE and Ms.P.Jothi Thilaga, AP/CSE.
6G Wireless Technology and It's Application
Ramco Institute of Technology, Department of Computer Science and Engineering in association with IE(I) CSE and CSI student chapter organized Technical Webinar on 6G Wireless Technology and Its Application on 18.08.2020 from 02.30PM to 04.00PM. 166 participants from various institution and organization attended the session. The resource person, Dr.Shahid Mumtaz, Senior Researcher, IEEE IAS Distinguished Lecturer, ACM Distinguished Speaker, Editor in Chief IET Journal of Quantum Communication, Instituto DE Telecommunications, AVEIRO, Portugal, discussed the various wireless technology and its applications. Dr.M.Kaliappan, ASP/CSE, Mr.R.Venkatesh, AP(SG)/CSE and Mr.D.Lakshmanan, AP/CSE coordinated the event under the guidance of Dr.K.Vijayalakshmi, Professor & Head/CSE.
Ramco Institute of Technology, Department of Computer Science and Engineering in association with IE(I) CSE students chapter organized workshop on Building Web APIs using Django framework during 15-16 August, 2020. 71 participants attended the session. The resource person, Mr.D.Lakshmanan, AP(SG)/CSE given an interactive hands on session on Django with step by step explanation. During the session participants created application using Django framework.Mrs.S.Manjula, AP/CSE, Mr.K.Vignesh Saravanan, AP/CSE coordinated the event.

A one day webinar on Latest Trends in Networking Technology was conducted by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering in association with CSI StudentsChapter and ISTE Faculty Chapter on 22.05.2020. Mr.Balaji Ravai, Senior Security Solutions Specialist, PCCW Solutions, Singapore handled the session on current thrust areas of networking viz Software Defined Network, Cloud Network, SDWAN, IoT and Cyber Security to the participants.165 participants from various Universities and other colleges have participated actively through google meet.
A two day National level Workshop on BLOCKCHAIN TECHNOLOGY was conducted by the department of CSE in association with RIT IIC, RIT IE(CSE Chapter), RIT Cyber Security Cell and GeeksLab Technologies on 13.02.2020-14.02.2020. 52 participants from various Universities and other colleges have participated actively.
RIT -CSI student chapter and RIT Innovation Council are conducting 24 hours Hands workshop on Network termination for 105 first year CSE, Civil, ECE, EEE and Mechanical students in five batches during January 2020 to Feb.2020.The first batch (Department of CSE and EEE) class have started from 11.01.2020 and second batch (Department ECE and Civil) have started from 06.02.2020.Students have hands-on session for dismantling and assembling hardware components of the system. Also, the students are learning about the configuration of systems and also the usage of each of them in detail.
The Department of CSE in association with ISTE chapter organized a Two-day Workshop on Adobe Photoshop from 13.12.19 to 14.12.19. Mr.K.Muthu kumar, LT/CSE, Mr.S.Sureshkumar, LT/CSE, Mr.S.Sankara Chockalingam, LT/CSE, Ms.M.Nageswari, JA/Civil, Mrs.T.Gayathri, JA/Mech, Ms.K.Prabha, JA/Principal Office, RIT handled the entire session. They delivered a lecture on Photoshop Basics, Tools, Design Techniques, Certificate and Banner Designing Concept. In total 34, 13 external participants and 21 internal participants participated in this programme.
Certified Secure Computer User (CSCU) workshop was conducted by Amrita University on 18.08.2019 to 19.08.2019 in which S.Yeshwanthini of III CSE, P.Gowtham of III CSE, G.R.Kavin Naresh of III CSE, V.Sudharsana Ramji of III CSE was qualified and got Certified Secure Computer User Certification with good grade. Classes about CSCU course content was delivered for I year CSE students from 24.09.2019 to 27.09.2019 by S.Yeshwanthini, III year CSE.
Live Webinar session is arranged at CSE seminar hall for the students of II year and III year CSE on 06.08.2019 at 3.00 pm to 4.00 pm. The Webinar hosted in the topic Uncomplicate IoT - Demystifying the complex IoT challenges with an Integrated IoT Platform by Karen Ravindranath, Director, WebNMS (IOT division of Zoho corporation), Zoho corporation. Chennai has jointly organized a Two day Workshop on NVIDIA GPU, Kubernetes and Machine Learning Frameworks during 25.07.2019 & 26.07.2019. 50 participants including faculty members and Students attended the workshop. Mr.MangalaPandi, Technical Head, SS Information Systems Pvt. Ltd., handled the session on setting up and usage of Kubbernetes clusters for running deep learning applications.

The Department of CSE & RIT-ED Cell in association with New Technology, Coimbatore jointly organized "Smart Phone Service Training" from 04.01.2019 to 05.01.2019. Mr.B.Krishanakumar and his team from New Technology, Coimbatore were the resource persons. They begin the session with the basics of smart phone and software. Later, they gave hands on practice in finding the mobile model, assembling and dis-assembling of mobiles and fault finding & testing to the participants on the first day of session In the second day of the session, trainers gave the training in dead mobile trouble shooting, IC replacement, touch panel replacement as hands on to the participants. More than 120 students of both internal and external participants got benefited.
The Department of CSE organized Three Days Workshop on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning from 03.01.2019 to 05.01.2019 for final Year CSE Students. Mrs.M.Swarna Sudha and Ms.P.Jothi Thilaga gave a brief introduction about basics of Python and its concepts. Mrs.B.Vijayalakshmi discussed about the packages like numpy, pandas, matplotlib and scikit learn for machine learning. Dr.K.Karthikeyan explained the concepts of Linear Regression and Logistic Regression with examples. Finally, Mr.R.Balaji Ganesh gave brief overview about all the concepts of Machine learning and its scope.

More than 350 students from different branches of the Institute attended the workshop. Participants were exposed on how to use various machine learning algorithms for developing products using Artificial Intelligence.
