Certification Program
Departments of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science and Computer Science and Engineering, jointly organized a Workshop on AI for Education for school teachers on 25th and 26th May 2026. The programme commenced from 9.00 AM to 10.00 AM with a session on various AI tools such as Grok, Sora, Gama, Veo, Claude, and others, delivered by Dr. B. Vijayalakshmi, Associate Professor-II. This was followed by a session on Power BI from 10.00 AM to 11.00 AM conducted by Dr. P. Suresh Kumar, Professor and Head, Mechanical Engineering. From 11.15 AM to 12.30 PM, Dr. K. Vignesh Saravanan, AP-III/CSE, introduced AI-powered spreadsheet tools including Rows AI, Sheet AI, and Formula Bot for formula generation, data analysis, and assisted computation. After lunch, from 1.15 PM to 2.30 PM, Dr. M. Ramnath, AP-III/AI&DS, presented a session on AI agents, workflow automation, deployment and sharing of AI tools, and a capstone activity focused on AI tool-based solutions. The session from 2.30 PM to 3.30 PM was handled by Dr. C. Karpagavalli, AP-II/AI&DS, covering AI for literature review, research discovery, research writing and publication, as well as research collaboration and version control. The programme concluded with a session from 3.40 PM to 4.30 PM by Mr. R. Muthu Eshwaran, AP/AI&DS, who discussed AI for data analysis and interpretation, no-code or assisted machine learning, data visualization and insights, and AI-driven research workflows and documentation.

The Soft Skills Training Programme was organized by Ramco Institute of Technology, under the initiative of RIT IITM PALS in association with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering and Information Technology. The programme was conducted as part of the Mahindra Pride Classroom (MPC), a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of the Mahindra & Mahindra Group, and implemented by the Naandi Foundation in collaboration with RIT PALS.The programme was coordinated by Mrs. K. Jeyageetha, AP/CSE, who serves as the SPOC and IITM PALS member. The programme was convened by Dr. J. Jerold John Britto, AP (SG)/Mechanical, who is an Executive Member of IITM PALS, ensuring effective planning and execution of the sessions.A total of 52 students participated in the programme, comprising 28 students from CSE and 24 students from IT. Among them, 29 were girls and 23 were boys, reflecting active and balanced participation.The primary objective of this programme was to enhance students employability skills by focusing on essential areas such as life skills, soft skills, communication skills, presentation skills, digital literacy, and interview readiness. The training aimed to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry expectations, preparing students for professional environments.The sessions were handled by Mr. Ravindiran Yadav, a Freelance HR Recruiter and Soft Skills Trainer, who provided practical insights and interactive training to develop students confidence, communication abilities, and career readiness.The programme was conducted at the CSE Seminar Hall from 09.03.2026 to 14.03.2026. Overall, the training programme served as a valuable platform for students to develop essential personal and professional skills required for their future careers.


Ramco Institute of Technology, Department of Computer Science and Engineering organized a Certification Course on "Linux System Administration" in collaboration with RIT-Clustra, a students' association, and RIT-CSI student chapter to enhance students' skills in Linux Administration and Free Open Source software during July 21-26, 2022. Mr.J.S.Sukumar of Vectra Technosoft Pvt. Ltd., Chennai, gave a special lecture on Linux System Administration and its industrial applications. Dr.M.Gomathy Nayagam and Dr.R.Venkatesh, RIT CSE Linux certified faculty members, led the entire technical session.


Ramco Institute of Technology, Department of Computer Science And Engineering organized Certification Course on Problem Solving using C - Batch (Basic) from 13.07.2020 to 24.08.2020 for all IV year students via Google Meet. The course materials and online quiz were posted in Canvas LMS and programs were posted in Hackerrank. Totally 138 students from Civil (37) CSE (9), ECE (34), EEE (42) and Mechanical (37) department participated in the trainings Students were thought from the basic, discussed the logic and made the students to practice in Hackerrank platform. To make interesting Aptitude questions were discussed in each session. Mrs.M.Swarna Sudha AP(SG)/CSE and Mr.D.Lakshmanan AP(SG)/CSE coordinated the training and the faculty members from CSE department handled all the sessions. The students expressed that the course was very useful for their placement drives.

Department of Computer Science And Engineering organized Certification Course on Problem Solving using C - Batch (Advanced) from 13.07.2020 to 24.08.2020 for all IV year students via Google Meet. The course materials and online quiz were posted in Canvas LMS and programs were posted in Hackerrank. 95 students from CSE (34), ECE (49), EEE (7), and Mechanical (5) departments participated in the training. The C programming concepts from Datatypes to the Pointers were taught to the students. Aptitude questions were discussed in each session. The students practiced the programming in the Hackerrank platform. Mrs.B.Vijayalakshmi, AP(SG)/CSE, and Mrs.N.Nithya, AP/CSE coordinated the training and the faculty members from the CSE department handled all the sessions. The students expressed that the course was very useful for their placement drives.

The Department of CSE in association with the ICT Academy of Tamil Nadu, Chennai organized a Six Days certification course on ADX-201- Salesforce Administrator from 25.11.2019 to 30.11.2019. Mr.Sunil Borah, Senior Trainer, and Mr.Mathivanan Balakrishnan, Technical Trainer, ICT Academy of Tamil Nadu, Chennai handled the entire session. They delivered a lecture on Salesforce Platform Basics, Trailhead Basics, Data Security, User Authentication, Security Specialist Super badge. In total 60 students from III year CSE-43, II year CSE-2, III & II year Mech-14, III year Civil-1 participated in this program.

International Certification Programme on "Certified Secure Computer User" was conducted in association with EC Council & TIFAC CORE in Cyber Security, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore for 48 students of CSE and ECE on 18.08.2019 & 19.08.2019. All 48 students have cleared the test conducted by EC Council and received the certificate.

RIT-Microsoft Imagine academy conducted Microsoft certification exams Microsoft Certified Educator (MCE), Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA), Microsoft Certified Office Specialist (MOS) for Teaching Faculty, Students and Non-teaching staff for the academic year 2018-2019 on 22.04.2019.

P.Rajarajeswari, C.Jegatha, N.Muthurani, M.Aparna, K.Ragapriya, K.Sathya Prakash, G.Prasanna Kumar of II CSE, R.Dhanuskarthikeyan, U.Keerthana, V.Nivetha of III CSE qualified for Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA).

Ramco Institute of Technology (RIT), in association with Medsby Healthcare and Engineering Solutions, Coimbatore, organized a Three-day Training Programme on 3D Printing during 19 21 October, 2019. Mr. G . Guru Prasandh, CEO & Founder of Medsby Healthcare & Engineering Solutions provided hands-on training on 3D printing technology to 79 students from Civil, CSE, EEE, ECE & Mechanical Engineering departments. Dr.S.Rajakarunakaran, HoD/Mech inaugurated this programme. At the end of the third day, a banner launching event for Innovation challenge 2K19 which is to be held in December, 2019 was held in presence of Mr. G . Guru Prasandh. Dr.L.Ganesan, Principal, Dr.S.Rajakarunkaran, Vice-Principal, Mr.S.Selvaraj, DGM(A), Dr.S.Dharmar, HOD In-charge/Civil, Dr.K.Vijayalakshmi, HoD/CSE, Dr.S.Kannan HoD/EEE and Dr.S.Periyanayagi HoD/ECE were also present. Mr.J.Jerold John Britto AP(Sr.Gr.)/Mech and Mr.A.Ramesh Babu AP/ECE coordinated this programme.
