EXPECT LECTURE / GUEST LECTURE

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Ramco Institute of Technology (RIT), in collaboration with the Institution of Engineers (India), successfully organized a Guest Lecture on Voice Over Interface on 16th February 2025. The session was delivered by Ms. Ashwini KEBS, Product Designer, and was coordinated by third-year students Ms. B. Hemalatha, Ms. T. Vijayalakshmi, Mr. M. Muthu Shankar, and Mr. A. S. Aravind, with enthusiastic participation from second-year and third-year CSE students. The lecture covered key aspects of Voice Over Interface, including core stages of design thinking, visual principles, UI principles, prototyping and testing, user research, and journey mapping, along with real-world examples to provide practical insights. The session enhanced students' understanding of interactive voice-based systems, equipping them with knowledge on designing intuitive and user-friendly interfaces.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, in association with Geeks for Geeks, organized a Guest Lecture on "Your Future in Digital Marketing: Myths, Jobs, and How to Get Started" along with the Inaugural of the Digital Marketing Club on 23.08.2025 at the CSE Seminar Hall. The session was delivered by Mr. Pravien Raj, Senior Digital Marketing Manager, Techmango Technology Services Pvt. Ltd. He shared valuable insights on the growing opportunities in the digital marketing industry, debunking common myths while highlighting essential skills and career pathways. His interactive talk inspired students to explore digital marketing as a career option and provided practical strategies to get started in the field. This event marked the beginning of the Digital Marketing Club, aiming to provide a platform for students to explore, learn, and innovate in the field of digital marketing. 105 students participated in this event.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, in association with the Computer Society of India (CSI), RIT Student Chapter, organized an Industrial Expertise Session on Digital and Mobile Forensics titled Android Forensics on 07.05.2025 through online mode. This session was conducted for III Year CSE students under the course CCS343 Digital and Mobile Forensics. The session was delivered by Mr. T. Siva, Founder of CYBERNERDS. Mr. Siva delivered an insightful and engaging lecture, sharing his industry experiences while covering both theoretical foundations and practical techniques in Android forensics. His talk provided valuable exposure to real-world scenarios, enriching the students understanding of mobile device investigation techniques and challenges.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Ramco Institute of Technology, Rajapalayam in association with Computer Society of India & RIT Alumni Association, organized a "Guest lecture on Java API". The event was conducted on 05.10.2024, at CSE Seminar Hall. 105 students of II CSE A and B have participated in this event. This lecture was delivered by Mr. N. Dhiraj, Technical Member Staff, ZOHO. Students were introduced to the fundamentals of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) in Java, with a focus on web APIs such as REST, SOAP, and GraphQL.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, in collaboration with the Training and Placement Centre, organized an Industrial Expertise Session on Performance Evaluation and Redressal Methods, for the IV-year CSE students on 19.10.2024. This session was conducted as part of the curriculum for the subject GE3754 Human Resource Management. This insightful session was led by Mr.Vignesh Paramasivam, an esteemed HR professional from Walmart Global Tech. Mr.Vignesh Paramasivams expertise in human resource management provided students with a comprehensive understanding of contemporary practices in performance evaluation and the importance of effective redressal mechanisms within organizations. The session aimed to equip students with practical insights and skills that are essential for their future careers, fostering a deeper understanding of how these processes impact organizational success and employee satisfaction. Mr.Vignesh Paramasivam encouraged students to ask questions and share their perspectives, making the session not only informative but also a valuable opportunity for professional development.

The Student Chapter of RIT ACM CSE successfully organized its Inaugural Function along with a guest lecture by Mr. H R Mohan, IEEE Ambassador, Chair-Events & IMM, Past Chair of IEEE CS, ACM Chennai, and Former AVP Systems at The Hindu, Chennai, on 18th October 2024. Ms. Afridha Fathima Syed Ibrahim, a second-year CSE student, welcomed the gathering, followed by Mr. Mohanganesh M, also a second-year CSE student, introduced the chief guest. The chief guest, Mr. H R Mohan, then delivered an insightful presentation on Maximizing Your Career Potential: The Role of IEEE, CS, ACM, and Related Societies for the first and second-year CSE students. A total of 150 students participated in this guest lecture. Following this, Mr. Mohan provided valuable insights on "Navigating CS Curriculum 2023 & Strategies for Faculty on IEEE Journal & Conference Publications" for the faculty members of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. The event was coordinated by Dr. R. Venkatesh, Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Ramco Institute of Technology, under the guidance of Dr. L. Ganesan, Principal; Dr. S. Rajakarunakaran, Vice-Principal; Mr. K. Selvaraj, GM (Admin); and Dr. K. Vijayalakshmi, Professor & Head of CSE. The inaugural function concluded successfully with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Mythri Vaishnavi K, a second-year CSE student.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Ramco Institute of Technology (RIT), in association with the Institution of Engineers (India), organized a Guest Lecture on the topic "Campus to Corporate - How HRM Facilitates the Transition". The lecture was held on 22.08.2024, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The resource person for the event was Ms.D. Devadharshini, HR Executive at Intronsoft. IV CSE students have participated in the lecture. With extensive experience in Human Resource Management (HRM), Ms. Devadharshini provided valuable insights into the role of HRM in transitioning students from an academic environment to a corporate setting. The main objective of the guest lecture was to bridge the gap between academic learning and corporate expectations. The session focused on how HRM plays a pivotal role in this transition by preparing students for the challenges and opportunities they will encounter in the corporate world. The lecture highlighted the importance of resource planning in HRM.

Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Computer Science and Business Systems and Information Technology, RIT inaugurated the Computer Society of India Students Chapter on 04.11.2023. Mr.S.Manikandan, CEO, Geon Logix Pvt Ltd, Madurai was the chief guest of the function and delivered the chief guest address. He also delivered the speech about Motivational Talk on 360 life. 240 students of Department of Computer Science and engineering, Computer Science and Business Systems and Information Technology have participated in an Inaugural function. The office bearers of RIT-CSI were introduced and the Joint Secretary of RIT-CSI Mr.K.Karthikeyan, II CSE Elaborated the annual plan of CSI Students chapter.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Ramco Institute of Technology (RIT) recently organized an enlightening online guest lecture on the subject of "Unravelling the Art of Encryption: Cryptography in Web Security." This event, part of the RIT-CLUSTRA series, attracted the participation of approximately 100 enthusiastic students. The lecture, held on October 28, 2023, featured two distinguished resource persons from the United States. Charan Akiri, a Cloud Application Security Architect, Reddit Inc Nasville and Chinmay Sahu, a Computer Vision Research Scientist, Thales DIS, USA, Inc, graciously shared their expertise and insights with the eager audience. They discussed the challenges, innovations, and real-world implications of encryption technologies. The session was organized under the guidance of Dr.L.Ganesan, Principal, Dr.S.Rajakarunakaran, Vice-principal, Mr.K.S.Selvaraj, GM(A), Dr.K.Vijayalakshmi, HOD/CSE, coordinated by Dr.R.Venkatesh, Associate Professor/CSE.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering Association, 'RIT-CLUSTRA,' successfully conducted its Inaugural Function for the academic year 2023-2024 on 14.10.2023, which was graced by a valuable Guest Lecture on Goal Setting & Achievement by Ms.Muthamizh Selvi Manoharan, Senior Manager Training at HCL Technologies, Madurai. 200 students from all four academic years, including I, II, III, and IV, enthusiastically participated in this event, which took place at the Shri. PRR Seminar Hall.The Guest Lecture delivered by Muthamizh Selvi Manoharan was the highlight of the event. She shared invaluable insights on the significance of Goal Setting, both short-term and long-term. Her guidance on achieving these goals resonated with the students, emphasizing the importance of a structured approach. The focus on SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound) goal setting provided a practical framework that can be applied academically and in personal and professional development.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Ramco Institute of Technology, Rajapalayam in association with Training and Placement cell, organized a guest lecture on Prompt Engineering and co-pilot on 23.09.2023. 63 students of Final CSE actively participated in this program. Mr.Rajkumar Sankaranaranyanan, Senior Consultant, WNS Global Services Pvt Ltd. was the resource person for the guest lecture. The participants are exposed to Prompt Engineering and Copilot. Additionally, he provided a thorough explanation of whether or not the ChatGBT model performs better than a coder. The sessions were coordinated by Ms.Sakthi Priya, AP/CSE, and Dr.I.Gethzi Ahila Poornima, AP(SG)/CSE under the guidance of Dr.K.Vijayalakshmi, HOD/CSE, Dr.L.Ganesan, Principal, Dr.S.Rajakarunakaran, Vice-principal, and Mr.K.S.Selvaraj, GM(A).

In Ramco Institute of Technology, Rajapalayam, the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, in association with Clustra, organized a Guest Lecture on Hanoi Graphs on September 12, 2023, for third-year CSE students. The guest lecturer for the event was Dr. S. Arumugam, an Adjunct Professor at RIT and Ball State University, USA. During the lecture, Dr. Arumugam emphasized the growing importance of the Tower of Hanoi and Hanoi Graphs. He explained the Tower of Hanoi Puzzle and its theorem and also conducted a hands-on exercise for the students during the session.

In Ramco Institute of Technology, Rajapalayam, the Department of Computer Science and Engineering in association with RIT-CSI organized a Guest Lecture on Recent Trends and opportunities in Networking 11.08.2023 at 11.00 am for III year CSE, Students. The resource person of the guest lecture is Ms. M.J Sundara Lakshmi, Junior NOC Engineer, Swish Fibre, London Area, United Kingdom. The speaker highlighted the growing importance of 5G and edge computing in enabling faster and more reliable connections, particularly in the context of IoT and autonomous systems. They also emphasized the significance of software-defined networking (SDN) and network virtualization in enhancing network management and flexibility. The lecture provided valuable insights into the current state of networking and the exciting prospects it holds for those looking to enter in dynamic industry.

RIT- Career Guidance Cell and RIT-RedHat Academy jointly organizes Awareness Program on Means to Make the Students - Industry Ready on 09.08.2023 for all second and third year students.
The Guest Speakers Mr.Ranjit Sengupta , M.D & C.E.O , Advantage Pro- Vectra Technosoft Pvt. Ltd, Chennai and J.S.Sukumar, Industry Institute Initiative, Consultant, Red Hat, Advantage Pro, Chennai. An esteemed industry experts delivered a keynote address, highlighting the significance of industry readiness in today's competitive world. The panel of experienced professionals from Redhat Certified industries engaged in a discussion on the key skills and qualities that make students stand out to potential employers on open source platforms. 15 third-year CSE, 11 second year CSE, 16 third-year ECE, 8 second year CSBS students attended this training. Students had the opportunity to interact with the panelists and guest speakers, asking questions and seeking advice on career development.

The department of CSE in association with RIT_CSE ACM Student chapter organized the guest lecture on Network Automation and Cyber Security from 03rd March 2023 to 04th March 2023.Mr.R.Balaji, Advanced Cyber Security Architect, Honeywell Pvt. Ltd., Singapore was the resource person of the guest lecture. Ms.J.Muthulakshmi, II CSE and Ms.S.Swetha Sri, II CSE coordinated the event the under the guidance of the Faculty Coordinator Dr.M.Gomathy Nayagam, ASP/CSE.139 students of I year, II year and III year CSE students were participated and got benefited.

RIT_CSE ACM students chapter organized the Adzap Exhibit Contest to the I year students of IT on 11thNovember 2022. The event was organised by Mr. AsuthoshSakka Raja, II CSE, Mr.SundaraMahalingam, II CSE and Mr.Vijayasarathy, II CSE. 24 students were participated. Mr.Sundaramahalingam of II CSE introduced and explained the details about the events to the students

Department of Computer Science and Engineering organized a guest lecture on Demonstration on Google Cloud Platform to apply Internet Programming on 18.03.202. The guest lecture was delivered by Mr.J.Sivaguru, Associate Consultant, Infosys, Chennai. He briefly explained about the importance of learning Internet programming languages and its application in Google Cloud Platform (GCP). He demonstrated an application using GCP. 66 students from III CSE participated in the lecture. The guest lecture was organized by Ms.G.Sakthi Priya, AP/CSE and co-ordinated by Mr.R.Harsha, III CSE, Ms.M.N.Tharani, III CSE, Ms.V.Keerthana, III CSE.

In Ramco Institute of Technology, Rajapalayam, the Department of Computer Science and Engineering in association with RIT-CSI organized a Guest Lecture on Use of Data Structures in Real Life Problems on 16.11.2022 at 10.00 am for II year CSE, ECE, and EEE of 225 Students. The resource person of the guest lecture is Dr. T. Manikandan, Assistant Professor, School of Computer Science, Engineering and Technology, Bennett University, Greater, Delhi Area. He briefly explained about the Need of Data Structures in real life and described the various data structures such as Arrays, Linked List, Stack, Queue, Trees, Graphs and Heaps and also explained the real world use of each data structures in day to day activities such as adding mobile phone contacts, google map, database, cybersecurity in detail. The objective of the guest lecture is the students to understand the importance of data structures in real life. At the end, he encouraged the students to do interdisciplinary project.

In Ramco Institute of Technology, Rajapalayam, the Department of Computer Science and Engineering in association with RIT-Clustra and IE(I) organized a technical session on Resiliency Engineering on 21.09.2022 at 9.00am for I, II, III and IV year students. The resource person of the guest lecture is, Mr. K Jeeva Karthik, Senior Manager, Ernst & Young, US. He briefly explained about the necessity of resilience engineering and described the platforms where it is used in IT industry and day to-day activities. The objective of the guest lecture was to focus on the capacity to recover from a fault and maintain service persistence reliability even in the presence of faults which would helpful for academic and placement. He also explained the expectations of IT sector. He encouraged the students to do project based learning. Finally, he concluded the session by mentioning the importance of resiliency engineering in a day today activities The guest lecture was coordinately organized by Dr.V.Anusuya, ASCP/CSE, Dr.R.Venkatesh, AP(SG)/CSE, Mrs.G. Mareeswari, AP/CSE under the guidance of Dr.K.Vijayalakshmi, Professor & Head/CSE.

Department of Computer Science and Engineering Association RIT-CLUSTRA carried out its inaugural function successfully along with a Guest Lecture by Mr.Kandha Vivek Raj K, Member Technical Staff, Zoho Corporation Pvt., Ltd Madurai on 17.09.2022. The Chief Guest delivered a Guest Lecture on Recent trends in Information and Computing Technology for the II-year and III-year CSE students. 100 students participated in this guest lecture. Ms. Anitha, II Year CSE welcomed the gathering. Ms. Sophiasree K, IV year CSE, read out RIT-CLUSTRAs Annual plan for the Academic Year 2022-2023. Inaugural function was successfully completed with the Vote of Thanks delivered by Ms.Ragavi VG, III year CSE. The Technical Association President, Dr.K.Vijayalakshmi, HOD/CSE and Faculty Advisor, Dr.R.Venkatesh, AP (SG)/CSE, have coordinated the event.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering organized a Guest Lecture on Artificial Intelligence during 04.02.2022, 07.02.2022, 11.02.2022 & 16.02.2022, 03.00pm to 04.00pm for First Year CSE & ECE Students. The resource person for the session was Mrs.B.Vijayalakshmi,AP(SG)/CSE and Mrs.N.Nithya,AP/CSE. In this guest lecture, sessions on overview of Artificial Intelligence and its applications, introduction to artificial neural network model, the activation function, loss functions and optimizers was handled. Finally,a hands-on-session for the design of ANN model using keras library for mobile price prediction was conducted.

Department of Computer Science and Engineering in association with IE(I) CSE organized an Industrial Guest Lecture on Java Spring Boot Microservices for II Year CSE students on 24.12.2021 at 09.30 am. Mr.T.N.Nivek, Software Engineer, Cognizant, Coimbatore, is the program's resource person. He began the session by introducing the environment used in industry via SDLC, the different types of software applications, and the evolution of Spring Boot. He described the required knowledge and software for developing a Java Spring Boot Microservices application and demonstrated how to build a simple application. Finally, he concluded the session by executing the developed application on the server and encouraging the students to develop applications in the same manner. The guest lecture was coordinated by Mrs.N.Nithya, AP/CSE under the guidance of Dr.K.Vijayalakshmi, Professor & Head/CSE.

Department of Computer Science and Engineering in association with CSI organized an Industrial Guest Lecture on Java Collections for III Year ECE, EEE & CSE students and II Year CSE students on 12.01.2022 at 10.30 am. The resource person of the program is Mrs.R.Niranjana Devi, Lead Software Developer, IQBackOffice, Chennai. She started the session with the introduction of collection frameworks in Java. She explained the importance and need of collections and the collections Hierarchy. She discussed the list interface such as ArrayList, LinkedList, Vector and Stack. She described the set interface such as Hash set, LinkedHash Set, Tree Set and map interface. Finally she concluded the session with the places where different collections can be used for solving real world problems. Department of Computer Science and Engineering in association with ISTE Students Chapter organized a Guest Lecture on Industrial Applications of Data Structures for II Year CSE & ECE students on 08.01.2022 at 10.30 am. The resource person of the program is Mr.S.Anand, Software Development Engineer, PayPal. He started the session with brief introduction about data structures. He explained about the applications of array, linked list, stack and queue data structures. He shared about several online courses and contests related to data structures and algorithms to the students. Finally he concluded the session by shared the usage and applications of data structures in industry projects. The guest lecture was coordinated by Dr.V.Anusuya, ASCP/CSE and Ms.P.Jothi Thilaga, AP/CSE under the guidance of Dr.K.Vijayalakshmi, Prof. & Head/CSE.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering in association with Institution of Engineers (India) CSE organized a Guest Lecture for the Subject CS8791 Cloud Computing on Google App Engine for IV year CSE students on 21.11.2021 at 10.00 am. The session was started with welcome address by Ms.M.B.Sridharshini, Student, IV CSE and Ms. P.Sabna Devi, Student, IV CSE introduced the resource person. The resource person of the program is Mr.P.Kumarasamy, AWS, Google Certified Cloud Architect, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). He started his lecture from virtualization and explained about the basic introduction of Cloud computing, various service and deployment model of Cloud computing and he demonstrated to deploy the .net application in Google App Engine. 73 students of both IV year, I year and IE(I)-CSE members got benefited. Finally the session was ended with vote of thanks by Ms.S.Vijayalakshmi, Student, IV CSE. The guest lecture was coordinated by Dr.V.Anusuya, ASCP/CSE and Dr.M.Gomathy Nayagam, ASCP/CSE under the guidance of Dr.K.Vijayalakshmi, Prof. & Head, CSE.

Department of Computer Science and Engineering and Alumni Association jointly organized a technical session on Importance of Data structures and Algorithms for II Year CSE students on 19.09.2021, 11.00 am 12.30 pm.
Dr.K.Vijaya lakshmi, Professor and Head welcomed the gathering and gave an introduction about chief guest, Mr.K.Arivarasan, Pursuing M.Tech CSE, IIT Dhandbad (Batch 2013-2017). Students enquired the importance of Problem solving, how to improve logical thinking, importance of programming. Resource person suggested a few programming platforms like Hacker rank, code chef, Leet code and advised to practice regularly and have a consistency in solving problems. Importance of Algorithms is highlighted to become a good CS Engineer. Problems in Leet code and hacker rank related to Data structures and Algorithms were discussed.

Department of Computer Science and Engineering in association with Alumni Association organized a Workshop on Introduction to React Js with Git and Surge for II and III year CSE students on 11.09.2021 at 11.30am. The resource person of the program is Mr.P.Vinoth Rajan, Software Engineer, Tech Mahindra (Batc 2014-2018). Basic introduction of HTML and CSS, Importance of Java scripts, Need of React JS and comparison of a website With and Without React JS was demonstrated detailly using visual studio. The importance of State and Props in ReactJs was highlighted. Git and its commands were demonstrated along with its purpose. Around 100 students actively participated. Finally the session was ended with Vote of Thanks by Ms.G.Sakthi Priya, AP/CSE

Recent trends in Artificial intelligence and Data science

Department of Computer Science and Engineering Association RIT-CLUSTRA carried out its inaugural function successfully along with a Guest Lecture by Mr.Arun Kumar S, Sr. Research Scientist, Amazon, Chennai on 28.08.2021. The Chief Guest Mr.Arun Kumar S delivered a Guest Lecture on Recent trends in Artificial intelligence and Data science for the II-year and III-year CSE students. 101 students participated in this guest lecture. The Technical Association President, Dr.K.Vijayalakshmi, HOD/CSE and Faculty Advisor, Mr.R.Venkatesh, AP (SG)/CSE, have coordinated the event.

Guest Lecture on SAP in AWS Cloud

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Ramco Institute of Technology, inaugurated the Department Association (RIT-Clustra), Introduced the Office Bearers of RIT-Clustra, and organized the guest lecture on SAP in AWS Cloud on 25.09.2020. The main objective of the guest lecture is to basic implementation of SAP in AWS Cloud Computing. The Resource Person, Mr.V.P.Manikandan, Manager, SAP Basis, ScottsMiracle Gro, Marysville, USA explained the need for ERP systems, the various modules of ERP solution, and its various market leaders, the various types of ERP implementation, and how to implement ERP solution in AWS Cloud Computing. 132 students member of the RIT-Clustra association members were participated and got benefited.

Opportunities for the Fresher in the Data Analytics

Ramco Institute of Technology, Department of Computer Science and Engineering in association with IE(I) CSE, CSI student chapter and Imarticus Learning Pvr Ltd organized a Technical Webinar on OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE FRESHER IN THE DATA ANALYTICS on 31.08.2020 from 11.00 AM to 12.30 PM. 86 participants from various institutions and organizations attended the session. 70 students from CSE departments of our institute participated in this session. The resource person, Mr.Ahemed Kalid, Vice-President Imarticus Pvr Ltd, discussed the various opportunities available in the domain Data Analytics. Dr.M.Kaliappan, Associate Professor/CSE, coordinated the event under the guidance of Dr.K.Vijayalakshmi, Professor & Head/CSE.

Ramco Institute of Technology, Department of Computer Science and Engineering in association with Computer Society of India, Rajapalayam organized a company-specific two day Guest Lecture on Advanced-Data structure and Algorithms on 22.02.2020 and 23.02.2020 for II year and III year students. The objective of the guest lecture was to focus on imparting the depth knowledge in data structure algorithms which would helpful for placement and internship in Amazon. The resource person of the guest lecture, Mr. S Anand, Software Developer, Amazon Software Development Centre, Chennai explained linear and non-linear data structure and discussed the problem-solving strategies using the array, pointers, linked list. He further emphasized on the importance of Object oriented concepts in problem-solving.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Ramco Institute of Technology has organized a one day guest lecture on Software Test Automation for III year CSE students in association with Computer Society of India (CSI) Students Chapter on 15.02.2020. The resource person, Mr.B.Arshathkhan, Team Leader, Amazon, and Chennai (Alumni of Batch 2014) shared his experience and knowledge in the field of Software Test Automation. Also, he shared about the opportunities in Software test automation to the participants and insists them to do certification course. More than 25 students were participated and got benefited.

The Department of CSE organized Guest Lecture on eBOX for the III year & II year CSE, Mechanical Students on 29.11.2019. Mr.Perichiappan, Software Developer, Coimbatore was the special guest.

Guest lecture on Cloud Computing Platform- OpenNebula delivered by Dr.D.Kesavaraja, Assistant Professor, Department of CSE, Dr. Sivanthi Aditanar College of Engineering ,Tiruchendur for 51 students of IV year CSE on 31st August 2019.

The department of CSE and Computer Society of India Students' Chapter jointly organizes a Guest Lecture on "Project Management" for the III year B.E. CSE students on 02.08.2019.
