Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Training and Placement Cell in association with RIT-ISTE Student Chapter conducted a Six-Day Short-Term Training Programme on "Emerging Trends in Smart E-Mobility and Sustainable Electric Powertrain Technologies" during December 15-20, 2025. The Resource Person of the program was Mr. Hemachandren, Outklass, Chennai. Totally, 62 participants from III year Students of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering participated in the Training Programme and got benefited.
The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering successfully organized a Five-Day National Level Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on AI and Machine Learning for Electrical Engineering from May 5 to May 9, 2025, in online mode. The FDP aimed to empower faculty members with fundamental knowledge and practical insights into the evolving fields of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and Deep Learning (DL), particularly in their applications to thrust areas within Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE). The FDP received an overwhelming response with 208 registrations from across India, representing diverse institutions. Of these, 125 participants actively attended all sessions and successfully completed the programme. Participants were from various states including Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, and Kerala, reflecting the nationwide reach and interest in the subject.
A five days Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on Competency Based Engineering Education, was organised by Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Department of Mechanical Engineering of Ramco Institute of Technology, from 10th February to 15th February 2025 (Online mode). We have received applications from various AICTE approved Engineering and Polytechnic colleges from Tamilnadu and other States Kerala, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Andrapradesh, Gujarat, Karnataka and Telangana. Totally 166 participants have participated.
Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, in association with IE(I) EE student chapter conducted a Short Term Training Programme on Fundamentals of Electrical and Electronics during July 10, 15 and 16, 2024. The Resource Persons of the program were Dr. A. Arun Kumar, AP(SG)/EEE and Mrs. S. Jeyanthi, AP(SG)/EEE, Ramco Institute of Technology, Rajapalayam. Totally, 61 participants from III year Students of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering participated in the STTP and get benefited.
Department of EEE, in association with RIT-Electra and IE(I) EE Student Chapter, conducted a Three Day Faculty Development Program on Design of Electric Vehicle using MATLAB Simulink during July 24-26, 2023. Dr. B. Ezhilavan, Managing Director & Ms. M. Devi, Software Developer from VEI Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Chennai are the resource persons. Around 22 participants attend the FDP and get benefited.
Department of EEE, in association with IE(I) EE Student Chapter, conducted a 2-Day Short Term Training Program (STTP) on Fundamentals of Electronics in Semiconductor Industries during January 30-31, 2023. The resource persons were Mr. A. Arun Kumar, Assistant Professor (Senior Grade)/EEE, Mr. A. S. Vigneshwar, Assistant Professor (Senior Grade)/EEE, Mrs. S. Jeyanthi, Assistant Professor (Senior Grade)/EEE and Mr. A. Guna, Assistant Professor/EEE from Ramco Institute of Technology. Around 55 students of III year EEE attend the STTP and get benefited.
Department of EEE, in association with RIT-Electra, IEEE Student Branch, IE(I) EE Student Chapter, conducted a 3-Day Online FDP on Bio Inspired Optimization Techniques for Electrical Engineering Applications during February 21-23, 2022. The resource persons from the reputed academic institutions and the industry were delivered the sessions. Around 50 participants attend the FDP and get benefited.
Department of EEE, in association with IE(I) EE Student Chapter, conducted a 5-Day Short Term Training Program (STTP) on Fundamentals on Electricals and Electronics during February 11-16, 2022. The resource persons were Dr. S. Kannan, Professor &Head/EEE, Dr. K. Karthikeyan, ASP/EEE, mr. S. Meenakshi Sundaravel, AP9SG)/EEE, Mr. A. Arun Kumar, AP/EEE, Mr. A. S. Vigneshwar, AP/EEE, Mrs. S. Jeyanthi, AP/EEE, Ms. S. Sharmila kumara, AP/EEE, Mrs. G. Sivapriya, AP/EEE from Ramco Institute of Technology. Around 18 students of II year EEE attend the STTP and get benefited.
The Department of ECE & EEE organized a five days Faculty Development Training Programme on Signals and Systems in association with IETE & IE(I) from June 13 18, 2018.
A Two Week AICTE Sponsored Faculty Development Programme on Human Values and Professional Ethics was organised by the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering during October 30, 2017 November 12, 2017.
A 7-Day Anna University approved Faculty Development Training Programme on IC6501 Control Systems was organised by the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering during June 04-10, 2016.
A 5-Day Faculty Development Training Programme on NI LabVIEW- Software and Hardware was organised by the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering during June 15-19, 2015.
