On November 9, 2023 AN, Mr. P. Prem Kumar (2018 batch), V93k System Test Engineer, Advantest facility, Advantest Corporation, Nash Technologies, Boblingen, Baden-Wuttemberg, Germany, gave a lecture to the Tessolve selected STE training students on the subject of "Understanding the Datasheet in Test Engineer Prospective." He began by outlining the process for locating the appropriate datasheet for a component. He has obtained example datasheets for MOSFET, resistors, inductors, capacitors, diodes, transistors, and voltage regulators in addition to analog and digital integrated circuits. He has conducted a live, hands-on training on understanding datasheet parameters, including absolute ratings, DC and AC parameters, and thermal characteristics, among others, using those datasheets as a guide. He provided an explanation of datasheet interpretation from the test engineer's point of view for the entire session. The students have enjoyed the session and cleared their many doubts.

On November 9, 2023 AN, our IV year students had an interaction with Mr. P. Prem Kumar (2018 batch), V93k System Test Engineer, Advantest facility, Advantest Corporation, Nash Technologies, Boblingen, Baden-Wuttemberg, Germany. He presented an engaging talk titled "Overview of Semiconductor Test Industry". He has pointed that the semiconductor is expanding both globally and in India. He expressed that the requirement of System on Chip in Automobile industry has created a huge demand for Semiconductor manufacturing engineers and testing engineers. He gave an explanation of the many verticals, career paths, and business potential in the industry. He has had active interactions with the students, who have had their questions answered. He also explained about the higher study opportunities and educational scholarship in Germany.

On September 27, 2023 AN Ms. T. Munieshwari (2021 batch), Project Engineer, Wipro Technologies, Chennai have interacted with the EEE students in RIT Alumni Summit 1.0. She has presented her lecture on the topic How to face the interviews in the software industry. She gave a humorous discussion about how to get ready for interviews in the software sector and described how those industries conduct their interviews. For the benefit of the EEE engineers, she also discussed her undergraduate experiences and interview experiences. She has put together a list of tools that can be used to improve communication, programming, and aptitude abilities. To all of the students, it has been distributed. She was enthusiastically engaged with the students, who asked her questions and got their answers.

On September 29, 2023 AN, Dr. K. Karthikeyan and Dr. D. Karthik Prabhu have invited the alumni for the interaction with first year freshers. Three alumni have interacted with the I year students and discussed about preparatory works for software industry, core industry and higher studies. Ms. R. Vasumathi (201518 batch), Researcher, IIT Madras, Chennai gave information about opportunities for higher education in India and how to be ready for the TANCET, CAT, and GATE exams. She also discussed the NGO activities carried out by their batch of students and how they are currently doing so. Ms. S. Abinayasri (2019-23 batch), Zoho Corporation, Chennai offered advice on how to handle interviews in the software sector. She emphasized the value of aptitude skills, coding expertise, and the use of platforms like TERV and Skill Rock. Mr. S. Jeyasuriya (2019-23 batch), Tessolve Semiconductors Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore has shared about the core industry especially semiconductor test engineering field. He insisted the students to understand the basic subjects like circuit theory, analog and digital electronics very well during the course itself. He also emphasized that learning should not be based solely on grades but rather on conceptual understanding. The students should interact with teachers, seniors, and other students, according to all three. It will improve their communication skills.

On September 26, 2023, AN, Mr. R. Radhakrishnan (2014-2018 Batch Alumni), Electrical Testing and Commissioning Engineer, PLQ Contracting LLC, Abu Dhabi has interacted with IV year EEE students. He encouraged the students towards core placements in the electrical equipment testing and commissioning field. He told that the students those who are interested in working in this domain should be ready to work in the field. Additionally, he mentioned that while the compensation for students may be modest and reasonable at first, it will increase once they have two to three years of knowledge and experience under their belts. Additionally, he claimed that people are constantly being hired for this kind of work. They students have interacted with him freely and asked many questions related to the nature of work that the field electrical engineer will do. Finally, he explained about his real life experience of commissioning of heavy weight electrical equipment in a variety of settings, including deserts, mountainous terrain, and wet forests, among others.

Mr. A. Mohamed Sameer (2014-2018 Batch Alumni), Senior Engineer Plant Maintenance, Rane NSK (P) Ltd, Chennai has interacted with III year EEE students on 18-03-2023, AN. He compared the career growth in the core industries and software sectors and spoke about the employment chances in core businesses. He has also gone into detail about how to prepare for key corporate interviews, what to study, and how crucial it is to complete projects while pursuing a degree. He has discussed his RIT education in detail. The students actively engaged with him and asked questions regarding the eligibility standards for on-campus and off-campus core industry placements as well as the nature of the work. Finally, he gave all of the students advice on how to choose a career.

Mr. V. Roshan (2014-2018 Batch Alumni), Project Lead Engineer, Control System, FLSmidth Private Limited, Kelambakkam, Chennai has interacted with II year EEE students on 17-04-2023, AN. He has discussed about the core company placement opportunities and compared the career growth in the software industries and core industries. He has also elaborated about the preparation for the core company interviews, topic to be studied and the importance of doing projects during their course of study. He has thrown light talk on his studies in RIT and stay in RIT hostel. The students have interacted with him actively and cleared their doubts about the on campus and off campus core company placement eligibility requirements and nature of the work. Finally, he advised all the students on how to choose their career selection.

The department of EEE organised an Alumni Interaction discussion for I year EEE students (2022-2026 batch) on 07-11-2022 from 3.00 pm to 4.00 pm. Ms. T. Munieshwari (2017-2021 batch), Project Engineer, Wipro Technologies, Chennai has delivered a light throwing talk on how to prepare for the exams and interviews. Especially she has explained about the interview process done by the software industries. She also shared her interview experience and her college life experience for the future budding engineers of EEE. The students were actively interacted with her and clarified their doubts. The alumni coordinator Dr. K. Karthikeyan, ASP/EEE and First year class advisor Mr. R. Thangasankaran, AP/EEE both have coordinated the event.

Dept. of EEE conducted a virtual Alumni Meet for 2016-2020 EEE Students from 4.00 pm to 5.30pm on 02 May, 2021. The HoD/EEE, Class Advisers and all faculty members organized the meeting through Google Meet to discuss the department activities carried out. Dr. K. Karthikeyan, ASP/EEE welcomed the alumni students and disseminated the vision and mission of the college and department, the new facilities added to the department and department achievements, current positive changes implemented in RIT. The Alumni gave various suggestions/feedback for the department development activities.

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, in Association with Alumni Association organised an online virtual Alumni Meet for 2014-2018 Batch EEE Students on 11 Apr., 2021. Mr. N. Ganesh, AP(SG)/EEE Co-ordinated the meeting. Totally 19 students have participated in this event. The Alumni students have requested all the faculty members to guide the students to have clear idea in choosing their career path. They also suggested giving importance for writing GATE examination. The students have requested their juniors to have aim of pursuing MBA and to become entrepreneur. The Alumni students have explained the importance of core job. They suggested all the students to have basic knowledge in Electrical CAD, PLC programming and ARES Software.

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, in Association with Alumni Association organised an online virtual Alumni Meet for 2015-2019 Batch EEE Students on 28 Mar., 2021. Mr. D. Karthik Prabhu, AP(SG)/EEE Co-ordinated the meeting. Totally 22 students have participated in this event. The Alumni students have advised the importance of Time management and stress management. They also stated the importance of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and its opportunities in industries. They suggested giving training in Programing Skills in various languages.

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, in Association with Alumni Association organised an online virtual Alumni Meet for 2013-2017 Batch EEE Students on 07 Feb., 2021. Dr. K. Karthikeyan, ASP/EEE and Mr. D. Karthikprabhu, AP (SG)/EEE Co-ordinate the meeting. Totally 10 students has participated in this event. They requested to provide extensive training for students on the automation field like Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and Variable Frequency Drives (VFD), since most of the core industries are equipped with these controllers. Also, the students have suggested to give training in the following software areas such as Back-end: SQL, Front-end: Angular JS, HTML, Javascript, & Bootstap. The Alumni students have actively shared their thoughts and views for the betterment of our students and our college.
