GUEST LECTURES
RIT ELECTRA, the Technical Association of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, was inaugurated by Mr. Karthick R., Senior Manager-HRD at Data Patterns India Ltd, Chennai. He delivered a guest lecture on Opportunities for Engineers in Aviation and Defence Sectors on 02.09.2024. The lecture was attended by students from the Department of EEE, as well as interested students from other departments. Mr. Karthick provided insights into recent advancements in space research and discussed the key skill sets needed to seize opportunities in the Electrical, Communication, Civil, and Mechanical Engineering domains at Data Patterns.
RIT ELECTRA, the Technical Association of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering valedictory function was conducted on 29.05.2024. The Guest speaker Mr. K. Vijayakumarraja, Proprietor, VIGOS Solutions, Rajapalayam delivered the valedictory address and gave a lecture and demonstration of Solar PV system design and installation. Initially during his valedictory address at seminar hall, he explained the scope and need for young entrepreneurs in the field of Solar PV installation. Later he explained about self-motivation. After the valedictory address, the students were taken to 30 KW solar PV plant at rooftop and an infield demonstration was given Students and the faculty members of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering participated in the Association Valediction.
Department of EEE, in association with RIT-Career Guidance Cell, conducted an awareness program on the topic "Opportunities to pursue Higher Education in Abroad" for third year and final year students and their parents on 27.03.2024. The session was delivered by Mr. Aravind Alagiri Raja, Business Development Manager, Galaxy Educational Consultants, Coimbatore. Around 63 participants benefited from the program.
RIT-ELECTRA is the Technical Association of EEE Department, was inaugurated by Mrs. Jothi Sekaran, IBM Senior Engineering Manager, Z Systems/Firmware, Infrastructure, Bangalore. She delivered the guest lecture on the topic Opportunities for Electrical Engineers in the IT Industry to all the II, III, and IV EEE students at Ramco Institute of Technology on 23.09.2023. The main objective of the programme is to enrich the students knowledge in the IT domain and introduce them to the basic requirements in the IT sector, thereby explaining the role of electrical engineers in the future.
Department of EEE in association with RIT Electra conducted a guest lecture on the topic Judicious Use of Digital Devices for the third year Civil, EEE and Mechanical Engineering students on 08.02.2023. The session was delivered by Dr. P. Venkumar, M.E., Ph.D., M.Sc. (Yoga), Rte. Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Kalasalingam University. Around 75 students benefited from the program.
The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, in association with the IEEE student branch, successfully conducted a guest lecture on VLSI testing for III-year EEE and ECE students on March 4, 2023. The resource person was Dr. N. Arumugam, Associate Professor, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, National Engineering College, Kovilpatti, who delivered the guest lecture. Around 82 students participated in this programme and benefited. The main purpose of arranging this guest lecture is to motivate and encourage the students to get placed in core companies such as Tessolve Semiconductors, Data Patterns, Anora Semiconductors, etc. The semiconductor test industry is one of the thrust areas where there are numerous opportunities for our students to get a good career.
Department of EEE, in association with RIT-Career Guidance Cell, conducted an awareness program on the topic GATE 2023 for the third year and final year ECE and EEE students on 26.10.2022. The session was delivered by Dr.D.Manimekalai, M.E, Ph.D, Manis GATE Tech. Vision, Bangalore. Around 60 students benefited from the program.
Department of EEE, in association with RIT-Career Guidance Cell, conducted an awareness program on the topic Higher Studies in Abroad for the third year and final year RIT students on 01.10.2022. The session was delivered by Dr. C. Selvamony, Managing Director, ACS International Educational Consultancy, Nagercoil. Around 60 students benefited from the program.
Department of EEE, in association with RIT-Career Guidance Cell, conducted a guest lecture on the topic Wind Power Growth and Opportunities in India for the third year and final year RIT students on 24.08.2022. The session was delivered by Dr. N. Karunamoorthy, Founder/Managing Director of Windplus Pvt Ltd, Coimbatore. Around 70 students benefited from the program.
Department of EEE, in association with IEEE Student Branch, conducted a Guest Lecture on Instrument Transformer for the II EEE students on 24.04.2022. The resource person Mr. Diviya Teja, Technology Manager at ITEC Instrument Transformer Equipment Corporation, Vadodara, Gujarat, India delivered the session. Totally 45 students attended and benefited.
Department of EEE, in association with RIT-Career Guidance Cell, conducted an awareness program on the topic How to face State and Central Government Exams for the third year and final year RIT students on 22.03.2022. The session was delivered by Jc Dr T.N. Ramasamy, Head Master ( Rtd.,) / Social Worker. Around 63 students benefited from the program.
Department of EEE, in association with IE (I) Student chapter, conducted a Guest Lecture on Application of Internet of Things (IoT) for Electrical Engineering Problems for the III EEE students on 01.02.2020 at EEE Seminar Hall. The resource person Mr. V. K. Dinesh Kumar, Chief Executive Office, E2A Technologies, Chennai delivered the session.

Department of EEE organizes a Guest Lecture on Renewable Energy Sources for the III year students on 19.09.2019, between 03.20 PM and 05.00 PM, in EEE Class Room. Mr.K.Vigneshwaran, AP/Mechanical, Ramco Institute of Technology, Rajapalayam delivered sessions. The main objective of the guest lecture is to get adequate knowledge about Renewable Energy Sources and how to make our earth more environmentally friendly. 30 students actively participated in this program.
