ELECTRONICS LABORATORY
Description
This Laboratory deals with all basic electronic devices, their characteristics and applications. Using these devices, small electronic circuits can be constructed and studied. In order to familiarize the students with basic components of electronics, this Lab is well equipped with advanced Cathode Ray Oscilloscope, Digital Storage Oscilloscope, Function Generators and Digital Multimeters. Students gain practical exposure about P-N Junction Diode, Zener Diode, Rectifiers, Filters, Transistor biasing, Amplifiers and FETs.

DIGITAL ELECTRONICS LABORATORY
Description
With a view of inculcating knowledge in fundamentals of Digital Electronics, this Laboratory is furnished with basic electronic hardware components. Through performing experiments such as Logic gates, Multiplexers, Demultiplexers, Encoders, Decoders, Flip-flops, Registers, Synchronous and Asynchronous Counters, the students are made familiar with the basic operations of Digital networks and Mini-computers. Each standard setup in this laboratory has basic Trainer kits and IC Testers. Hardware Description Language (VHDL) is used extensively for design, simulation and verification.

LINEAR INTEGRATED CIRCUITS LABORATORY
Description
This Laboratory is intends to meet the curriculum needs by experimenting with Operational amplifiers, Multivibrators, Schmitt trigger, Instrumentation Amplifier, Filters, PLL applications and Oscillators. The experiments are designed and analysed using Operational Amplifiers, Timer IC and simulated using PSPICE software.

ELECTRONIC CIRCUITS LABORATORY
Description
Electronic Circuits Laboratory is equipped with the latest Signal Generators, Oscilloscopes and measuring instruments. This Lab helps students to acquire technical knowledge by experimenting with different types of Amplifiers, Oscillators, Multivibrators and Filters. The students are familiarized with basic analog circuits, characteristics of electronic components, testing the circuit performance and the techniques of making hardware circuits.

MICROPROCESSOR AND MICROCONTROLLER LABORATORY
Description
This Laboratory is equipped with Microprocessor Trainer kits based on INTEL 8085, 8086 and Microcontroller kits based on INTEL 8051, 8059 along with interfacing peripheral devices such as 8279, 8251 and 8253. Added to this, Microprocessor based Speed control of Motors, PC based Temperature Control system, Data Acquisition system with software facilities has been established and Cross Assembler experiments are carried out.

DIGITAL SIGNAL PROCESSING LABORATORY
Description
Digital Signal Processing Laboratory (DSP) is concerned with the representation of signals as a sequence of numbers and the operations carried out on the signals to extract specific information contained in them. The objective of the laboratory is to enable the students to simulate and experiment with digital signals and systems. Students can implement digital signal processing algorithms using different computational platforms and DSP tools which enhance the practical exposures in signal processing.

COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS LABORATORY
Description
The recent communication techniques can be demonstrated in this laboratory using various Communication Kits like Pulse Code Modulation kit, Delta Modulation kit, AM , FM Modulation and Demodulation kits, Time Division Multiplexing kit and Sampling kit. This laboratory enriches the fundamentals related to Analog and Digital Communication Systems. The Performance of Communication Systems are analysed using MATLAB Simulation software.

COMPUTER NETWORKS LABORATORY
Description
The Computer Networks laboratory is well equipped with the latest PCs. Establishing a Wired Network, Wireless Network and Communication between nodes are carried out using Network Simulation software in order to experience the real time scenario. This software helps to study various the protocols such as Ethernet LAN, Token bus, Token Ring, Stop and Wait and Go Back-N, etc.

VLSI DESIGN LABORATORY
Description
VLSI Design Laboratory was established with latest FPGA kits and Cadence Software to support research in VLSI systems, and to enhance engineering education in the field of VLSI design and thus increase the number of graduates with experience in this area for the growing microelectronics industry. This Laboratory provides hands-on design capabilities for Analog, Digital and Mixed Signal IC/ ASIC design up to 45 nanometer scale.

EMBEDDED SYSTEMS LABORATORY
Description
This laboratory provides hands-on experiences and integrative projects from fundamental digital logic design to emerging embedded computing system design and to gain practical experience in automation field and ZIGBEE based wireless communication. It is equipped with all necessary Equipments for design, implementation and testing of applications for embedded systems based on modern processors.

OPTICAL AND MICROWAVE LABORATORY
Description
The department has a well-established Optical and Microwave Laboratory over an area of 96 Sq.m. This Laboratory provides depth knowledge about the Optical and Microwave components and analysing the Optical and microwave Equipments. The Students are able to learn the concepts of how to communicate and to do transmission between Microwave devices. This laboratory helps the students to design, analysis, optimization and characterization of miniaturized RF and Microwave components and devices based on new breakthroughs in microwave theory and techniques. The students to know and understand how communication is being established at microwave frequencies and using fiber in Optical Communication. The first half of the course uses Optical bench setup. The second half of the course uses Microwave bench setup.

TESSOLVE SEMICONDUCTOR LABORATORY
Description
This Laboratory provide a hands on experience in the area of Semiconductor Chip Testing, Semiconductor Design, PCB Design, Failure Analysis and System design. The key objective of Tessolve semiconductor laboratory is to bridge the gap between theory and practice and make education a more meaningful tool to meet the challenges in the competitive world. This laboratory provides solid practical training on-ground in addition to the theoretical learning on campus.

Description
The NI-LabVIEW Research Laboratory is established with the support from National Instruments (NI) Corporation, USA. This laboratory is built exclusively and can accommodate 20 students to work in LabVIEW environment. Through this Laboratory, students can learn how to develop basic applications in the LabVIEW graphical programming environment, create applications using a state machine design pattern and the RIT-NI LabVIEW laboratory will enable both the students and faculty to prepare for Certified LabVIEW Associate Developer (CLAD).

TECHNICAL INCUBATION CENTRE
Description
The incubation centre will focus primarily on encouraging research and ideation from the students. The Incubation centre will support with the concept validation and prototype creation for ideas being worked upon by the students. It is equipped with various platforms such as Printed Circuit Board design, Arduino boards, Raspberry Pi boards, various sensors and interface modules. Through this technical incubation centre, students make their innovation as prototype; they exhibit their prototype in project contest and events conducted by various institutions.
