FACULTY DEVELOPMENT TRAINING PROGRAMME ORGANIZED
The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering has successfully conducted Two Week Anna University approved Faculty Development Training Programme on EC8451 Electromagnetic Fields during December 03-15, 2018. External participants from various Engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu and Internal Participants had registered and participated in this programme. The Inaugural function was held on 3rd December 2018. The Coordinator Dr.S.Periyanayagi, Professor and Head, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering welcomed the gathering, Dr.S.Rajakarunakaran, Vice Principal delivered the Inaugural address. Eminent Speakers from premiere institutions such as Dr.T.Senthil, Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education, Mrs.P.Rajeswari, Velammal College of Engineering and Technology, Dr.K.Venkatalakshmi, University College of Engineering, Tindivanam. Dr.S.Nagalakshmi, Sethu Institute of Technology, Dr.K.Mahadevan, PSNA College of Engineering and Technology, Dr.A.Thenmozhi, Thiagarajar College of Engineering and Host Institution speakers delivered guest lecturers on various topics related to EC8451-Electromagnetic Fields. The Valedictory function was held on 15th December 2018. Dr.S.Periyanayagi, Professor and Head, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering delivered the Vote of thanks.
The Department of ECE & EEE organized a Five days Faculty Development Training Programme on Signals and Systems in association with IETE & IE(I) from 13th June 2018 to 18th June 2018. First day session was handled by Mr.N.Arumugam, Associate Professor, Department of ECE, National Engineering College, Kovilpatti in Classification of Systems, Continuous Time Signals and Systems. Topics like Continuous Time Systems- Linear & Nonlinear, Time-variant & Time-invariant, Causal & Non-causal, Stable & Unstable was handled by Mr.T.Vijayanandh, Assistant Professor(SG), Department of ECE, National Engineering College, Kovilpatti. The session on second day starts with Fourier Transforms in CT Signal Analysis and its Properties, Laplace Transforms and properties by Dr.G.Ananthi, Assistant Professor, Department of ECE, Thiyagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai. Linear Time Invariant- Continuous Time Systems, Impulse response, Convolution Integrals, Differential Equation was handled by Dr.R.Suresh Babu, Associate Professor, Department of ECE, Kamaraj College of Engineering and Technology, Virudhunagar. Hands-on training session about Implementation of Signal Processing concepts using ARM Kit was conducted by Mr.Moorthy Kanagaraj, Product Engineer, M/s. Enthu Technology Solutions India Pvt Ltd, Coimbatore. Remaining sessions were handled by the internal faculty members of ECE. Participants from various engineering colleges attended and acquired knowledge from this training programme.
Five Days Faculty Development Training Programme on RF and Microwave Engineering was organised by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering during June 12-16, 2017.
Seven Days Anna University approved Faculty Development Training Programme on EC6502 - Principles of Digital Signal Processing" was organised by the Electronics and Communication Engineering during June 03-10, 2015.
