Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day)

As per the direction of AICTE, the birthday of the first Deputy Prime Minister & Home Minister of India, Shri. Sardar Vallabhai Patel is celebrated as Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) on 31 October 2018 in RIT. In view of this, Rashtriya Ekta Diwas pledge was taken by students on 31.10.2018 at 08.55 AM in their respective class rooms.

VIGILANCE AWARENESS WEEK

As per the direction of AICTE, Vigilance Awareness week was observed in RIT from 29.10.2018 to 03.11.2018 with the theme, Eradicate Corruption-Build a new India. In view of this, an integrity pledge was taken on 31.10.2018 at 08.50 AM in the respective class rooms.

Tree Plantation

The NSS and YRC volunteers of Ramco Institute of Technology create a lot of awareness on the importance of tree plantation in surroundings areas. In addition to this, awareness rallies and tree plantation programmes are conducted in villages. Free saplings are donated to internal and external participants of various events like seminar, workshop, conference and any other competitions held in our college.

Awareness Programmes

Several awareness programmes on Plastic free environment to control pollution, Cancer, Digital India, Health and Hygiene, Yoga, Environment Protection have been conducted in the surrounding areas.

Visit to Orphanages and Old Age Homes

To promote helping tendency among students, our student volunteers often visit to orphanages and old age homes. The orphanages are donated with necessary provisions and groceries.

Swachh Bharat Programmes

As part of Swachh Bharat programme, NSS and YRC units regularly organize camps in nearby villages. We also create awareness programmes for the school students on cleanliness, health and hygiene. Our NSS volunteers conducted a March fast for creating awareness on tree plantation and importance of Swacch Bharat initiatives by the Government of India. As part of the Swacch Bharat Campaign, our students cleaned the premises of different schools, temple and public spaces in Sivanthipatti and Mamsapuram Villages.

At the end of day, the temple was cleaned in a perfect manner. The local community and temple priests have appreciated our efforts.

After Cleaning

Visit to Public Meeting Spaces

NSS & YRC volunteers visited Rajapalayam vegetable Market and explained the concept of converting biodegradable waste into useful compost to the vendors, business people of the market and public.

Visit to Western Ghats

Our student volunteers often visit nearby reserved forest areas, remove plastics and other non-degradable wastes in the forests which has greatly helped the ecosystem in preserving and conserving the wildlife.

Medical Camp

The NSS and YRC unit conducted the medical camp to both our students and village people of Mamsapuram.

Blood Donation

Blood Donation Camps have been conducted by the NSS and YRC Units of RIT. As a result of conducting these camps, blood have been donated to the government hospital, needy people and Rotary Club of Rajapalayam. In appreciation of our endeavour, the college has received Outstanding Appreciation Award from the Virudunagar District Collector.

Assistance during Natural Calamities

Some of the trees of the forest were fallen down and uprooted during one storm and windy cyclone. Our student volunteers help to re-root and plant the fallen tree and gave back its life.
