EXPECT LECTURE / GUEST LECTURE
The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science at Ramco Institute of Technology organized the Association Inauguration and a guest lecture on "Industry Trends in GenAI" on October 5, 2024, at PRR Hall. The chief guest, Mr. Jebastin Prabagaran, Co-founder and CEO of Icanio Technologies, delivered an insightful lecture on the transformative impact of Generative AI (GenAI) across various industries, emphasizing the importance of upskilling in this rapidly evolving field. The event commenced with Vennila, a second-year AI & DS student, introducing the chief guest, followed by Dr. M. Kaliappan, Head of the AI & DS Department, honoring him. Poorvika, also a second-year student, delivered the vote of thanks. The event concluded with the prize distribution for the competition "Error 404," where the First Prize was awarded to Guhan Bala and Vijay Anand, the Second Prize to Vishal and Kesavan, and the Third Prize to Deva Sahayaraj and Sanjevi Ram. The session inspired students to stay updated with the latest AI trends and innovations.
On September 24, 2024, Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science hosted a guest lecture titled "Engineers to Entrepreneurs: Turning Ideas into Innovation," delivered by Mr. Senthil, CEO of Honey Builder Pvt. Ltd., Chennai, at the PRR Hall. The event was introduced by Swetha, a third-year AI & DS student, and the chief guest was honored by Dr. M. Kaliappan, Professor and Head of the AI & DS Department. Attended by 362 AI & DS students from the first to third years, Mr. Senthil captivated the audience with motivational insights from his entrepreneurial journey. The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science,organized a seminar titled "Empowering Minds: Strategies for Students to Manage Mental Health and Excel Academically" on September 11, 2023, at 9:00 AM, exclusively for first-year AI & DS students. Ms. M. Ruba Dharshini, a first-year AI & DS student, welcomed the gathering and introduced the resource person, Dr. Arjunan P., a psychiatrist from Seithur, Rajapalayam. During the seminar, Dr. Arjunan provided insights into the significance of career development within the field of Artificial Intelligence. He also shared practical tips and a case study on stress management, emphasizing the importance of mental well-being for academic success. Dr. Arjunan strongly advised students to limit their usage of mobile phones and social media, noting how excessive use can negatively impact their careers. He also highlighted the value of continuous learning and professional growth as essential components of success in AI.The seminar concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ram Rojith V., a first-year AI & DS student.
