Academic Year 2024-2025
The Department of Information Technology, Ramco Institute of Technology, organized a one-day online workshop for XI and XII school students on the topic "Art of UI/UX: Transform Your Design Process Using Figma" on 25.04.2025. 124 students from various schools in the Virudhunagar district and surrounding areas, from both 11th and 12th grades, registered for the event, and 54 students participated enthusiastically. The session was conducted by internal faculty members Mrs. G. Mareeswari, Assistant Professor/Information Technology, and Mrs. A. Alagulakshmi, Assistant Professor/Information Technology. The participants gained knowledge about designing using the Figma platform. Figma is a cloud-based graphic design tool used for creating brand marketing content, user interface design, sales presentations, training posters, and other designs. During the morning session, the concept of UI/UX was taught. In the afternoon session, students learned the basics of Figma and applied design practices in Figma. The participants provided very positive feedback about the session. E-certificates were provided to all the participants. The entire event was coordinated by the faculty members under the guidance of the Head of the Department of Information Technology, Dr. V. Anusuya.
Ramco Institute of Technology, IT Department organized the NGO visit on October 6,2024 to Vallalar Illam situated in Shenbaga thoppu, Rajapalayam. About 32 students from II year IT and Mrs. Mareeswari. G ,Assistant Professor/IT and Dr. Thirunamanathan, AP(SG)/Physics visited the orphanage and II Year IT Students Varun, Arjun, Saranya, Selvagayathri and her team conducted competitions to the children and other fun activities and interacted with children . Students provided fund to prepare lunch for children in the vallalar illam. They also offer groceries to the orphanage children with the help of funds provided by HOD, faculty and students. Children and students actively participated in all events and the day was memorable.
Academic Year 2023-2024
The Department of Information Technology, Ramco Institute of Technology organized Two-days Online Workshop for school students on Drag and Drop - UI Design for XI, XII school students during 03.05.2024 & 04.05.2024. Totally 51 students from the XI and XII standards actively participated in the event, which was registered in 25 schools throughout the Virudhunagar district. The session was handled by the internal faculty members, Mrs.G.Mareeswari, AP/IT, Mr.S.Sakkaravarthi, AP/IT, Mr.M.V.Balaganesh, AP/IT. The attendees gained knowledge about designing using Canva Platform and the platform is a cloud-based graphic design tool used to create on-brand marketing content, sales presentations, training posters and designs and the session on Day 1 is throughout Hands ON mode. On Day 2 Cap Cut tool for video editing and attendees learned knowledge about how to use the tool for editing the videos in effective manner. The session on Day 2 is also full of Hands-On mode. Poster designing competition was also conducted at end of the session for ensuring the knowledge gained by the participants. The participants gave very good feedback about the session. E-certificates were also distributed to all the participants. The entire programme was coordinated by the faculty members under the guidance of Dr.V.Anusuya, HOD/IT.
Academic Year 2022-2023
Ramco Institute of Technology, IT Department organized the NGO visit on July 9 2023 to Lights of light situated in Rajapalayam. About 35 students from I year IT and Mr. Dhamodharan ,Assistant Professor/IT and Mr.Venkatesa perumal,AP(SG)/Chemistry visited the orphanage and I Year IT Student Thanishka sree and her team conducted competitions to the children like Ball in the bucket and other fun activities and interacted with children . Students provided groceries to the orphanage children with the help of the funds provided by HOD, faculty and students. Children and students actively participated in all events and the day was memorable.
Ramco Institute of Technology, Information Technology Department Organized one day state level workshop HOST YOUR OWN WEBSITE for X, XI, XII school students on 06.05.2023. 48 school students of X, XI, and XII standards from various schools were registered and 32 school students were actively participated in this programme The session on Host your own website were handled and coordinated by internal faculty members Mrs. M. Swarna Sudha, AP(SG), Mrs. S. Manjula, AP(SG), Mr.R.Dhamotharan, AP, Mrs. G. Mareeswari AP. The session was very interactive and the participants learned about website creation using HTML and CSS. Quiz was also conducted at the end of the session. The participants gave very good feedback about the session. E-certificates were also distributed to all the participants. The entire programme was conducted under the guidance of Dr. V. Anusuya, HOD/IT.
