EXPERT LECTURE / GUEST LECTURE
The Department of Information Technology, in association with RIT-Institution of Engineers (India), organized an inaugural event followed by a guest lecture on From Theory to Practice: Real-Time Applications of DSA on 04.10.2025. The resource person for the session was Mr. Rohinth R, Software Developer Engineer at Zoho, Chennai. The event aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical learning and practical applications by providing insights into the real-time use of Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) in the software industry. The session helped students understand the importance of DSA in problem-solving, coding efficiency, and software development. Mr. Rohinth shared his industry experiences, explaining how DSA concepts are used in designing optimized solutions. The lecture was interactive and informative, inspiring students to strengthen their programming and analytical skills.The event was coordinated by Mrs. G. Mareeswari, AP/IT, and Mrs. M. Rethina Kumari, AP/IT, along with student coordinators Mr. Deena Thayalan P (IV IT), Ms. Poongothai S (III IT), Mr. Vimal S (III IT), and Ms. Varuna Shree A (II IT) under the guidance of Dr. V. Anusuya, Associate Professor & Head/IT. The students shared positive feedback, appreciating the insightful session and the practical knowledge gained from the resource person.

The Department of Information Technology, in association with ACM Student Chapter jointly organized an Guest Lecture on Enterprise Application Development on 03.10.2025 for ACM Student members from III yr and II Year IT at Civil Seminar Hall. The Resource person of the guest lecture was Mr. A. Selvakumar, Senior Software Engineer, Changepond Technologies, Chennai. Around 65 students were actively participated in this guest lecturer. He discussed various aspects of enterprise application development, including real-time case studies, tools, and technologies used in the industry. Adoption of Spring Boot for rapid enterprise application development, focusing on its features like embedded servers, auto-configuration, and simplified dependency management. The students expressed that the lecture was highly informative and enhanced their knowledge of advanced software engineering concepts. The guest lecture was successfully organized and accomplished by the ACM student coordinators Thanishka Shree U, IV Year IT and Poornima A III Year IT. Ms. Pooja Shree S delivered the welcome address and Murugalakshmi V Introduced the Chief Guest and at the end of the session, Surulivelan M gave vote of thanks. This seminar was organized by Dr. K. Palraj ASP/IT and Mrs G.Sivasathiya AP / IT , under the guidance of Dr. V. Anusuya, HOD/IT.

The Department of Information Technology, in association with ACM Student Chapter jointly organized an Online Guest Lecture on Artificial Intelligence in Digital Marketing on 21.07.2025 for ACM Student members from III yr and II Year IT. The Resource person of the guest lecture was Mr. B. Parthasarathy, Senior Architect, Emirates National Bank Dubai. Around 55 students were actively participated in this guest lecturer. The resource person gave an evolving role of AI in the marketing domain. It will cover key concepts such as AI-driven customer segmentation, personalized recommendations, predictive analytics, chatbots, and content automation. The session will help students and professionals understand how AI technologies are reshaping digital marketing practices, making them more efficient, data-driven, and customer-centric. The guest lecture was successfully organized and accomplished by the ACM student coordinators Ms. S. Aarthy III IT, Ms. S. Jeyadevi II IT. Ms. S. Arthy delivered the welcome address and Introduced the Chief Guest and at the end of the session, Ms.S. Jeyadevi gave vote of thanks. This seminar was organized by Dr. K. Palraj ASP/IT and Mrs A. Alagulakshmi AP / IT, under the guidance of Dr. V. Anusuya, HOD/IT.

The Department of Information Technology, in association with RIT-Institution of Engineers (India), organized a Guest Lecture on Graph Data Structure in Social Network Analysis on 21.12.2024 . The event was coordinated by Ms. Jeyalakshmi A, Ms. Saranya P, Mr. Dharanibalan R and Mr. Alagu Surya.S of II-year IT students. The Guest Lecture was designed specifically for second-year IT students, provided a comprehensive learning experience focused on Graph Data Structure in Social Network Analysis. The resource persons from Zoho Mr. Rohinith R (Software Developer Engineer) handle the session in an interesting manner. Participants were introduced to key themes relevant to modern software development engineering and Social Network Analysis. This session aimed to equip students with foundational knowledge in Graph Data Structure in Social Network Analysis, enhance their technical skills. This event was organized by Mrs. G. Mareeswari AP/IT, under the guidance of Dr. V. Anusuya, Associate Professor & Head/IT. The students gave very good feedback about the event.

A guest lecture was organized by the Department of Information Technology in association with RIT InfoTrix on 25th July 2024 in virtual mode for B.Tech IT II year students. It was specially organized to inculcate knowledge among the students regarding Node.js in industry perspective. The entire B.Tech - IT II Yr class of 58 students actively participated in this event. Second Year Student Mr.M.Joel Paulraj delivered the welcome address.The lecture was delivered by highly qualified and experienced Industry Person Mr.G. Mariselvam, Team Lead, Culture Monkey Pvt Ltd Chennai. The resource person interacted with the students and shared his experiences. He explained the concept of Node.js in modern web application development. He taught about overview of Full Stack Development, Front End Development, Back End Development, MEAN Stack and MERN Stack. He also taught about the various back-end development tools such as Java, C#, Python and Ruby. He explained about DevOps. The session was enlightening as it proved to be very fruitful and beneficial for all the students. Student Ms.S.Sobana given the vote of thanks. The workshop was coordinated by Mr.S.Sakkaravarthi,AP/IT and Mr.M.V.Balaganesh,AP/IT under the guidance of Dr.V.Anusuya, HOD/IT.

The session started with Dr.M.Brindha briefing the students about Block Chain Technology. Many important key terms were also introduced for a better understanding like Encryption, Confidentiality, Integrity, Authentication, Authorization etc. To make the students understand better, the resource person explained the concepts with real time examples. The session was very interactive and multiple questions were presented giving everyone a chance to think. The event was expertly managed by student coordinators including Mr.S. Sri Saru Kumar, Ms.S.G.Abinayaa and Mr.A.Thirumurugan. Second year IT Student Ms.S.G.Abinayaa given the vote of thanks. The students felt very enlightened and are eager for another guest session, since this session give students a chance to get acquainted with the buzz going around in the corporate world. Dr.M.Brindha also explained the applications of Blockchain in various sectors like Education, Healthcare and Supply Chain. She also presented some of the project ideas related to Blockchain Technology with students. The entire B.Tech - IT (I Yr &II Yr) class of 120 students actively participated in this event. This session was successfully organized by Mr.M.V.Balaganesh,AP/IT, Mrs.G.Mareeswari,AP/IT under the guidance of Dr.V.Anusuya, ASP, the Head of Information Technology Department.
