About RIT INFOTRIXZ
The student organization for Information Technology is RIT-INFOTRIX. The RIT- INFOTRIX programme began in the academic year 2022-2023. It provides a forum for students to share their technical expertise and original ideas in order to advance in the fields of Information Technology. Optimistic engineers' skill sets are enhanced, allowing them to succeed in their future endeavours. INFOTRIX 's goal is to expose students to a variety of extracurricular activities such as symposiums, workshops, seminars, guest lectures.
Events organized 2025-2026
A guest lecture on Angular Architecture for Enterprise Applications was organized by the Department of Information Technology, in association with RIT InfoTrix, on 31st December 2025 in virtual mode for B.Tech Information Technology III and IV-year students. The primary objective of the event was to inculcate knowledge among students on Angular Architecture for Enterprise Applications. A total of 75 students actively participated in the session. The event commenced with a welcome address by Final Year student Mr. J. Prasath. The guest lecture was delivered by Mr. T. Suriyakumar, Lead Software Engineer, Dr. Agarwals Eye Hospital, Chennai, a highly qualified and experienced industry professional. The resource person actively interacted with the students and shared valuable industry insights and real-time experiences. He explained the core concepts of Angular architecture and components, and demonstrated the front-end enterprise application of Dr. Agarwals Eye Hospital in real time. The session also covered an overview of Angular components, services, APIs, and database integration. The lecture was highly informative, enlightening, and beneficial, providing students with practical exposure to enterprise-level front-end development. The session concluded with a vote of thanks by student Mr. P. Sivasekar. The guest lecture was coordinated by Mr. S. Sakkaravarthi, AP/IT, under the guidance of Dr. V. Anusuya, HOD/IT.

The Department of Information Technology, in association with RIT Infotrix, organized a Mini Project Presentation on November 12, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM in the Data Science Laboratory. The event provided an excellent platform for students to exhibit their technical innovation, problem-solving capabilities, and creative project ideas. The event was coordinated by Mr. S. Sakkaravarthi, AP/IT, and Mrs. Alagulakshmi, AP/IT, under the guidance of Dr. V. Anusuya, Associate Professor and Head of IT. The student coordinators for the event were Ms. U. Thanishka Shree IV/IT, Ms. G. Aarthi IV/IT, and Ms. S. Jeyadevi III/IT. The participants demonstrated remarkable enthusiasm and technical excellence, making the event a highly engaging and insightful experience that reflected the students innovative potential and dedication to learning. winner of the event was Divya Sri JS & Team, IV IT and Sibiah.R & Team, III IT.

The Department of Information Technology, in association with RIT Infotrix, organized Bug Hunt on October 8, 2025, from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM in the Data Science Laboratory. The event was designed to test participants critical thinking, debugging efficiency, and logical problem-solving skills through a series of code correction challenges. Students from all four years of the IT department enthusiastically participated, identifying and fixing errors in C and Java programs within a limited time. The competition encouraged analytical reasoning, pattern recognition, and mental ability among participants. The event was coordinated by Mrs. G. Sivasathiya, AP/IT, under the guidance of Dr. V. Anusuya, Associate Professor and Head/IT. Ms. Abinanthana N and Ms. Swathi S of IV IT served as student coordinators. The participants showcased exceptional coding skills and problem-solving abilities, making the event a challenging and intellectually stimulating experience. The winner of the event was Sobika Joleen G J & Gayathri S, III IT and runner of the event was Aarthi S and Ackshaya M IV IT.

The Department of Information Technology, in association with RIT Infotrix, organized Connections on September 26, 2025, from 3:45 PM to 4:30 PM in the Data Science Laboratory. The event was open to students from all four years of the IT department and featured multiple interactive rounds, including word-link puzzles, image associations, and theme-based clue matching. Participants competed in teams to identify logical connections quickly and accurately, testing their analytical thinking, creativity, and teamwork. The event was coordinated by Mrs.M.Rethina Kumari, AP/IT, under the guidance of Dr. V. Anusuya, Associate Professor and Head of IT. The participants showed great enthusiasm and problem-solving skills, and the event received highly positive feedback, marking it as an engaging and intellectually enriching experience. The winner of the event was Siva Sekar and Team from Final Year IT and Runner-up Vishalnandha and Team from Second Year IT for their outstanding performance in the Connections event.

The Department of Information Technology, in association with RIT INFOTRIX, organized a Memory Challenge on August 25, 2025, from 3:45 PM to 4:30 PM in the Civil Seminar Hall. Open to second-year, third-year, and fourth-year IT students, the event featured a series of interactive and brain-teasing challenges designed to test observation, recall, concentration, and problem-solving abilities. Participants engaged in multiple rounds that included pattern recall, sequence matching, spot-the-difference, rapid memory quizzes, and logical puzzles. The competition encouraged quick thinking and sharp memory skills, with a live scoreboard displaying participant progress in real time.The event was coordinated by Mrs. M. Thulasi Devi, under the guidance of Dr. V. Anusuya, Associate Professor and Head of IT. Students participated enthusiastically, enjoyed the challenging tasks, and gave highly positive feedback. The Memory Challenge proved to be both fun and intellectually stimulating, making it a successful and memorable experience for all. The winner of the event was Thanishka Shree.U & Ashmitha K.V, IV IT and Rheya Shree. M & Devipriya.P, III IT.

Events organized 2024-2025
The Department of Information Technology, in association with RIT INFOTRIX, organized the Treasure Hunt on May 23, 2025, from 12:20 PM to 1:05 PM in the Data Structure Laboratory. Treasure Hunt is an exciting online event designed for teams of 2 members. The event features a single round filled with engaging and brain-teasing puzzles and riddles, all set in a fully digital format. Teams will navigate through a virtual trail of clues, solving each puzzle to unlock the next stage. The entire hunt is time-bound, and winners will be determined based on accuracy and the time taken to complete the hunt. The event was conducted for third-year IT students. In this unique activity, participants were given a password-protected file. Clues for each letter of the password were embedded within a series of images provided during the event. Participants were required to carefully analyze the images, identify the clues, and deduce the correct password. The participant or team that successfully cracked the password and accessed the file first was declared the winner. The event was coordinated by Mrs.M.Rethinakumari,AP/IT, Mrs.A.Alagulakshmi,AP/IT, under the guidance of Dr. V. Anusuya, Associate Professor and Head of IT. The winner team of the event was V.BanuMathavan and S.Vijayaraghavan, Runner team was M.Gowdhamaan and P.Veil Muthu Vairam. The students found the event highly engaging and intellectually stimulating, and their enthusiastic participation contributed to the success of the programme.

The Department of Information Technology, in collaboration with RIT INFOTRIX, hosted the Code Carnival on March 21, 2025, from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM in the Data Structure Laboratory. This online competition was open to first-year, second-year, and third-year IT students. The event featured a single round consisting of 30 questions that participants had to complete within 40 minutes, covering multiple-choice questions, fill-in-the-blank challenges, and code debugging tasks. Participants were ranked based on both accuracy and speed, with a live scoreboard showcasing real-time rankings. The winner of the event was Elakiya.E III Year IT, the first and second runners of the event were M. Ackshaya, III IT and G. Harshini III Year IT. The event was well-coordinated by Mr. K. Palraj, ASP/IT, and Mr. M.V. Balaganesh, AP/IT, under the guidance of Dr. V. Anusuya, Associate Professor and Head of IT. The competition saw enthusiastic participation from students, who provided positive feedback, making the event a great success.

Department of Information Technology in association with RIT INFOTRIX & Training and Placement Centre, Ramco Institute of Technology, Rajapalayam collaborated with Vibhathi Labs, Chennai organized DBMS (Six Weeks) Hackathon Series (Oracle SQL & PL/SQL) from September 2024 to February 2025. A total of 31 students of B.Tech-IT 3rd year students actively participated in this Hackathon Series. This event was handled by the faculty coordinators, Mr. S. Sakkaravarthi (AP/IT), Mr. M.V. Balaganesh (AP/IT), under the auspices of Dr. V. Anusuya (HOD/IT) and Mrs. K. B. Uthra (TPO/RIT). This six-week intensive hackathon is designed to equip students with hands-on experience and advanced skills in Oracle SQL & PL/SQL. Through a blend of live coding sessions, interactive discussions, and real-world problem-solving challenges, participants will learn to build and manage robust databases, paving the way for a successful career in IT. After the completion of the six-week hackathon series, a valedictory session was conducted on 22.02.2025. The chief guests invited for this event are Mr. T. Karkuvelraja, Associate Vice President, Vibhathi Labs, and Ms. Sujitha Jayaraman, Principal Architect, Vibhathi Labs Chennai. Dr. L. Ganesan, the Principal, Dr.S.Rajakarunkaran, the Vice-Principal and Mr.K.Selvaraj, GM (A) also presided over the function. Mr. T. Karkuvelraja announced the winners list: Ms. Sobana S. got the first prize, Sandhiya M. got the second prize, and Sivasekar P. got the third prize. Additionally, Vibhathi Labs in Chennai offered the two-week internship program for the winners. During this internship, students will gain exposure to Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, and APEX technologies, enhancing their practical knowledge and skills. All the participants received the participation certificates, which were also distributed by the chief guest. Finally, the participants share their experience and gave very good feedback about the Six Weeks Hackathon Series.

The Department of Information Technology, in association with RIT INFOTRIX, successfully organized two days bootcamp titled "Cybersecurity Bootcamp" on December 7, 2024 and December 9,2024, from 9 AM to 4 PM in civil seminar hall. This event provided an engaging platform for students to explore and enhance their ethical hacking skills. A total of 27 first-year and second-year students from the IT department actively participated in the workshop. The event was organized by faculty members Mr. S .Sakkaravarthi, AP/IT, Mrs. G. Mareeswari, AP/IT and Mr.M.V.Balaganesh, AP/IT under the guidance of Dr. V. Anusuya, Associate Professor and Head of IT. The bootcamp served as an excellent opportunity for participants to refine their design abilities and showcase their creativity. The activities were thoughtfully designed to stimulate critical thinking and problem-solving skills, significantly enhancing the participants' ethical hacking competencies. The event was well-organized, and students provided very positive feedback.

The Department of Information Technology, in association with RIT-Infotrix , organized a Mini Project Presentation Event on 29.11.2024. The event was coordinated by Ms.Swathi S and Abinaya S of III-year IT. Totally 57 students of III year IT were participated in this event. They were allotted into 14 different batches with different project development ideas for the subject Full Stack Web Development. Participants utilized the Diverse Experience of Full Stack Development and also they have developed projects with enhanced knowledge . Participants received insights into developing and presenting their projects effectively, focusing on both technical and presentation skills. This event was organized by Faculty coordinators Mr.S.Sakkaravarthi, AP/IT, Mrs.G.Sivasathiya, AP/IT and Mrs. A.Alagulakshmi, AP/IT under the guidance of Dr. V. Anusuya, Associate Professor & Head/IT.

The Department of Information Technology, in association with RIT INFOTRIX, successfully organized a workshop on UI & UX on October 24, 2024, at 2:40 PM in C2L01. This event provided an engaging platform for students to explore and enhance their UI and UX design skills. A total of 54 second-year students from the IT department actively participated in the workshop. The event was organized by faculty members Mr. K. Palraj, ASP/IT and Mrs. A. Alagu Lakshmi, AP/IT under the guidance of Dr.V.Anusuya, Associate Professor and Head of IT. The workshop served as an excellent opportunity for participants to refine their design abilities and showcase their creativity. The activities were thoughtfully designed to stimulate critical thinking and problem-solving skills, significantly enhancing the participants' design competencies. The event was well-organized, and students provided very positive feedback.

The Department of Information Technology, in association with RIT INFOTRIX, successfully organized a Guest lecture on Building a Future Ready Resume on October 19, 2024, at 12:20 PM in Civil Seminar Hall. This guest lecture helps the students to understand the evolving job market, develop a proactive and future-oriented mindset, and create a resume that effectively communicates their skills, experiences, and potential. A total of 50 third-year students from IT department actively participated in the guest lecture. The event was organized by Mr. S. Sakkaravarthi, AP/IT under the guidance of Dr.V. Anusuya, Associate Professor and Head of IT. The guest lecture served as an excellent opportunity for students to have a deeper understanding of how to tailor their resumes to meet the demands of the future workforce, positioning themselves as valuable candidates for the roles they aspire to. The event was well-organized and students provided positive feedback.

The Department of Information Technology, in association with RIT INFOTRIX, organized a non-technical event "Shutter and Shade" on September 25, 2024, at 1.35 PM to 2.40 PM. The objective of the event was to provide an excellent opportunity for participants to improve their image editing skills. A total of 28 students from II Year & III Year B. Tech IT and CSBS department were actively participated in the event. The event was expertly managed by student coordinators including Ms.Abinayaa SG, Mr.R. Vijayakumar and the students gave very good feedback about the event. The event was organized by the faculty member Mr. S.Sakkaravarthi, AP/IT , Dr.K.Palraj, ASP/IT under the guidance of Dr. V. Anusuya, Associate. Prof & Head/IT. The winner of the event was Ms.M.Valli,II Year IT, the first and second runners of the event were Mr.V.Ajay III Year IT and Mr.R.Gopikaran, III Year CSBS.

The Department of Information Technology, in association with RIT-Infotrix, organized an event named Tech Talks on 10.09.2024. Tech Talks is a paper Presentation event where teams of two participants present on any technical topic of their choice within 5 minutes. The presentation was in PowerPoint format, limited to 6 to 8 slides, and evaluated by a faculty panel whose decision was final. The event aims to enhance participants' technical knowledge, presentation skills, and teamwork, providing them with valuable experience in delivering concise and impactful presentations. The student coordinator of the event was Ms. N. Abinanthana of III year IT , Ms. M. Harini of II year IT. The students were actively involved in the tech talks. The winner team members of the event were Mr. K. Dhinesh, Mr. M. Joel Paulraj of III year IT students. The Runner team members of the event were Mr. S. Sri Saru Kumar, Mr. P. SivaSekar, Ms. S. Events organized 2023-2024
A guest lecture was organized by the Department of Information Technology in association with RIT InfoTrix on 25th July 2024 in virtual mode for B.Tech IT II year students. It was specially organized to inculcate knowledge among the students regarding Node.js in industry perspective. The entire B.Tech - IT II Yr class of 58 students actively participated in this event. Second Year Student Mr.M.Joel Paulraj delivered the welcome address.The lecture was delivered by highly qualified and experienced Industry Person Mr.G. Mariselvam, Team Lead, Culture Monkey Pvt Ltd Chennai. The resource person interacted with the students and shared his experiences. He explained the concept of Node.js in modern web application development. He taught about overview of Full Stack Development, Front End Development, Back End Development, MEAN Stack and MERN Stack. He also taught about the various back-end development tools such as Java, C#, Python and Ruby. He explained about DevOps. The session was enlightening as it proved to be very fruitful and beneficial for all the students. Student Ms.S.Sobana given the vote of thanks. The Department of Information Technology, in association with RIT INFOTRIX, organized a technical event "Designophic" on June 21, 2024, at 4 PM to 4.45 PM. The objective of the event was to create an interactive web page using front end technologies. The Designophic event served as an excellent opportunity for participants to improve their web designing skills. A total of 35 students from II Year B.Tech IT department were actively participated in the event. The event was expertly managed by student coordinators including Mr.K.A Mohammed Islaam, Mr.C. Gowtham and the students gave very good feedback about the event. The event was organized by the faculty member Mr. S.Sakkaravarthi, AP/IT under the guidance of Dr. V. Anusuya, Associate. The Symphony of Artistic Poem is an non-technical event organized by the Department of Information Technology in association with RIT INFOTRIX on June 20, 2024, from 2 PM to 3PM. The objective of the event was to encourage participants to explore their creativity, express themselves through art, poem and develop various skills such as observation, communication, and emotional intelligence. The Symphony of Artistic Poem event served as an excellent opportunity for participants to improve their creativity skills. A total of 20 students from II Year B. Tech IT department were actively participated in the event. The event was expertly managed by student coordinators including Mr.V.Subramanian, Mr.G. Dinesh Pandian and the students gave very good feedback about the event. The event was organized by the faculty member Mr. MV.Balaganesh, AP/IT under the guidance of Dr. V. Anusuya, Associate. Prof & Head/IT. The winner of the event was Ms.S.Sneha II Year IT, the first and second runners of the event were Mr.S.Vijayaraghavan II Year IT and Mr.P.Deenathayalan II Year IT.

The Department of Information Technology, in association with RIT INFOTRIX, successfully organized a technical event "Tech Quiz" on May 05, 2024, at 3:30 PM. The event took place in the Data Science Laboratory, creating an engaging platform for students to showcase and enhance their technical concept understanding, problem-solving and critical thinking skills. A total of 23 first year and second year students from IT, CSE and CSBS department were actively participated in this event. The event was organized by the faculty Mr.S.Sakkaravarthi, AP/IT under the guidance of Dr.V. Anusuya, Associate Professor and Head/IT. The challenges presented in the event were carefully crafted to stimulate critical thinking and problem-solving skills, contributing to the overall enhancement of participants' problem-solving abilities. The event was well organized and the students gave very good feedback about the event. The winner of the event was Mr.P.Sathasin II Year CSE, the first and second runners of the event were Mr.V.Aswath II Year CSE and Ms.S.Sobana II Year IT.

Department of Information Technology in association with RIT INFOTRIX, organized a Two Days Workshop on Mobile App Development using Flutter for II Year IT & CSBS Students from 23.02.2024 to 24.02.2024. The resource person of the workshop was Mr.T.Bharath, Flutter Full Stack Engineer. 36 students of II Year IT & CSBS department were actively participated in this workshop. The resource person gave a lecture on overview of Flutter development, UI elements, Dart package manager, Flutter testing and deployment along with hands-on session. The participants expressed that the workshop was very much interesting and informative. Certificates were distributed to all the participants. The workshop was expertly managed by student coordinators including Mr.M.Joel Paulraj and Ms.K.V.Ashmitha. Second year IT Student Ms.U.Thanishkashree given the vote of thanks. The event took place in the Civil Seminar Hall, providing an engaging platform for participants to showcase and explore innovative ideas, advancements and solutions. Participants are encouraged to present papers that delve into emerging technologies, address current challenges, and propose novel approaches to enhance the technological landscape. A total of 10 first year and second year students from IT and CSBS department were actively participated in this event. The event was organized by the faculty Mr.S.Sakkaravarthi, AP/IT under the guidance of Dr.V.Anusuya, Associate Professor and Head/IT. The Paper Presentation event served as an excellent opportunity for participants to improve their Presentation skills. The event was expertly managed by student coordinators including Mr.S. Sri Saru Kumar, Ms.S.Swathi and the students gave very good feedback about the event. The winner of the event were Ms.U.Thanishkashree & Team II Year IT, V.Kamatchi & Team, II Year CSBS and runner of the event was Ms.KV Ashmitha & Team II Year IT.

The Department of Information Technology, in association with RIT INFOTRIX, successfully organized a technical event "Code War" on November 27, 2023, at 4:00 PM. The event took place in the Data Science Laboratory, creating an engaging platform for students to showcase and enhance their coding skills. A total of 36 first year and second year students from IT, CSE and CSBS department were actively participated in this event. The event was organized by the faculty Mr.S.Sakkaravarthi, AP/IT under the guidance of Dr.V.Anusuya, Associate Professor and Head/IT. This event "Code War" served as an excellent opportunity for participants to refine and demonstrate their coding prowess. The challenges presented in the event were carefully crafted to stimulate critical thinking and problem-solving skills, contributing to the overall enhancement of participants' coding abilities. The event was well organized and the students gave very good feedback about the event. The winner of the event was Mr.S.Sri Saru Kumar II Year IT, the first and second runners of the event were Mr.P.Sathasin II Year CSE and Ms.N.Kaviya I Year CSBS.

The session started with Dr.M.Brindha briefing the students about Block Chain Technology. Many important key terms were also introduced for a better understanding like Encryption, Confidentiality, Integrity, Authentication, Authorization etc. To make the students understand better, the resource person explained the concepts with real time examples. The session was very interactive and multiple questions were presented giving everyone a chance to think. The event was expertly managed by student coordinators including Mr.S. Sri Saru Kumar, Ms.S.G.Abinayaa and Mr.A.Thirumurugan. Second year IT Student Ms.S.G.Abinayaa given the vote of thanks. The students felt very enlightened and are eager for another guest session, since this session give students a chance to get acquainted with the buzz going around in the corporate world. Dr.M.Brindha also explained the applications of Blockchain in various sectors like Education, Healthcare and Supply Chain. She also presented some of the project ideas related to Blockchain Technology with students. The entire B.Tech - IT (I Yr &II Yr) class of 120 students actively participated in this event. This session was successfully organized by Mr.M.V.Balaganesh,AP/IT, Mrs.G.Mareeswari,AP/IT under the guidance of Dr.V.Anusuya, ASP, the Head of Information Technology Department.

At the Beginning of the event, which was held in conjunction with RIT INFOTRIX, the event organizers welcomed each participant. After then, the teams participated in several rounds of challenges. The team leaders were instrumental in eliciting the response from the event organizers The competitors were split up into 12 teams, all of which were Department of Information Technology students. Each team had nine or ten individuals, and each was assigned a team leader who was in charge of organizing and coordinating. It was their duty to hold productive discussions about the solution with the other members of their team. Throughout the event, the team leaders inspired and managed their team mates, exhibiting excellent leadership qualities. Their efforts were crucial in maintaining the teams' unity and focus. As a thank you for their efforts and enthusiastic involvement, WINNER participants received certificates at the conclusion of the event. The certificates honoured their commitment to collaboration and their significant roles in making the event a success. The B.Tech - IT (I Yr &II Yr) totally 117 students are actively participated in this event. This session was successfully organized by Mr.M.V.Balaganesh,AP/IT, Mrs.G.Mareeswari,AP/IT, Mr.S.Sakkaravarthi AP/IT under the guidance of Dr.V.Anusuya, ASP, the Head of Information Technology Department.

The Spotify Vibes is a non-technical event organized by the Department of Information Technology in association with RIT INFOTRIX on October 30, 2023. The event was organized for the I Year and II Year B.Tech. IT students and the Faculty Co-Ordinator Mr. S. Sakkaravarthi, AP/IT under the guidance of Dr.V.Anusuya, Asso. Prof & Head/IT. The event's primary objective was to create an interactive platform for participants to showcase their quick thinking and teamwork skills. The event comprised three rounds, with teams typically consisting of 9 to 10 members. Advancement to subsequent rounds was determined based on participants scores. The event was expertly managed by student coordinators, including Mr. K. Dhinesh, Ms. S. Sobana, Mr. P. Harish Krishnan, and Ms. J. S. Divya Sri. The feedback from students regarding the event was overwhelmingly positive. The top-performing team in the event was "Jeya Vidhya & Team," while "Bloody Sweet & Team" and "Conquers & Team" secured the first and second runner-up positions, respectively.

Department of Information Technology in association with Training and Placement Centre, Ramco Institute of Technology, Rajapalayam inaugurated its Technical Association Infotrix on 14.10.2023. Mr. J. Shelton Samson Vetharaj, Software Engineering Director, Madura Coats Private Ltd., Madurai as the Chief Guest for the inaugural function and he addressed the students about the Role of Technology in Business Organization. The Second year IT Student Ms.K.V Ashmitha introduced the office bearers of the Technical Association Infotrix. 120 students of first and second year students were actively participated in this function. Student President Mr.P.SivaSekar delivered the welcome address. Head of the Department Dr.V. Anusuya delivered the inaugural address and Assistant Professor Mr.S.Sakkaravarthi who gave the introductory speech about the Chief Guest. The Chief Guest was honoured by Dr.V.Anusuya Head of the Information Technology department. First Year IT Student Ms.K. Gayathri given the Vote of Thanks. The event was successfully organised by the department faculties Mr.S.Sakkaravarthi, Mrs.G.Mareeswari, Mr.M.V Balaganesh and also by the students of department of IT.

Events organized 2022-2023
Department of Information Technology, RIT in association with RIT-infotrix conducted an event named IDENTICALNESS on July 26, 2023. Totally 53 students of first year Information technology were actively participated in this event. The student co ordinator of the event was Ms. Suba Lakshmi. G and Mr. Gowtham. C. The event was organized by the faculty member Mrs. G.Mareeswari, AP/IT under the guidance of Dr. V. Anusuya, Asso. Prof & Head/IT. The event was conducted in three rounds. In the first round some pictures are shown and technical word relevant to the pictures should be found by the students. From the first round 4 teams where shortlisted to second round. Further 3 teams were shortlisted to the final round. Mr. K. Rishi Kesavan & his team was the winners of the event. Mr. V. Subramanian & his team was the runners of the event. The student gave very good feedback about the event.

"Back to Back Stand" is an event, organized by the Department of Information Technology in association with RIT INFOTRIX on 06/07/2023. The event was organized for the I Year B.Tech. IT students and the Faculty Co-Ordinator Mr.R.Dhamotharan, AP/IT under the guidance of Dr.V.Anusuya, Asso.Prof & Head/IT. The event in-charges were Prasad J and Praveen Kumar R. The event aimed to challenge participants teamwork, communication, and decision-making skills. The "Back to Back Stand" event required teams to work together to maintain balance while standing back to back. The participants comprising students from the Department of Information Technology, were divided into 8 teams. Each team consisted of six members, and they were given a designated team leader responsible for communication and coordination. The teams then engaged in multiple rounds of challenges. In each round, the teams had to maintain balance for a specific duration of time. Any team failing to meet the required timing was eliminated. The winner team is M. Gowthamaan and his team members.

The Minute To Win It event took place on 26th May 2023 from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm. The event was organized for the I Year B.Tech. IT students and the Faculty Co-Ordinator Mrs.G.Mareeswari, AP/IT. The aim of the event was to provide an engaging platform for the participants to showcase their quick thinking, problem-solving skills, and teamwork. There were totally three rounds in the event. The students were grouped as four members per team. Teams were selected to the next rounds, based on their marks. The Student Co-Ordinators of the event was Ms. S. Sneha and Ms. G. Yazhini. The event was well organized and the students gave very good feedback about the event. The winner team of the event was Sri Saru Kumar.S & Team, the first and second runners of the event were Sivamaharaj.S & Team and Swathi.S & Team.

"Chalk and Cheese" is a non-technical event that took place on March 9th 2023. The event was a huge success with a total of 47 participants. The event in-charges were M Joel Paulraj and U Thanishka Shree . The participant had to talk irrelevant topics to other participant, and they had to talk irrelevant till one of the participant get wrong. In the first round where both participants had talk irrelevant to each other. In the second round, where the shortlisted participants had to talk irrelevant to each other. The third and final round were the second round shortlisted participants were and had to speak irrelevant to other participant on it for three minutes. The Winners of the event were Vijayaragavan S emerged as the winner of the event, while Sivamaharaja S ,Subramanian R was the runner-up. Both participants exhibited excellent communication skills, and the judges were impressed with their performance.

The technical event "Beat the Bug" was conducted on 1st March 2023. The event was organized with the aim of testing the programming and technical skills of the participants. 47 students participated in the event, which was coordinated by Harshini G, Sivasekar P. All the participants were provided with a question paper that contained a set of programming and technical questions related to Python Programming. The duration of the event was 1 hour. The competition was designed to test the programming and technical skills of the participants. The winners of the event were Aarthi S, Harikrishnan K and Rahulraj S, who solved most of the questions with accuracy and speed.

Department of Information Technology and RIT INFOTRIX organized an Inauguration function for I Year IT students. The resource person is Mr. Senthil Ramalingam, Senior Director (IDE), Cognizant Technolgy Solutions, Coimbatore. This guest-lecture was organized by Mr.R.Dhamotahran,AP/CSE under the guidance of Dr.K.Vijayalakshmi, Prof. & Head/CSE. The resource person agenda is to elaborate on the scope of Information Technology course, student's engineering and technologies trends. Students were excited to learn the diverse engineering roles from him. He showed a road map to students, on how to plan and practice and succeed in careers. He motivated the students to decide the focus, read more about it and do some certification to get more skills in the area. The students interacted with the speaker well and they felt the talk is much valuable and needed by every student. They were all attentive and enjoyed the whole session.
