FDP / FTTP / STTP

The Department of Information Technology, Ramco Institute of Technology, organized a Five-Days Online Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on Natural Language Processing for Modern AI Systems from 22nd December 2025 to 26th December 2025. The FDP was conducted in online mode during evening hours, enabling participation from academicians, research scholars, and industry professionals from various parts of India. The programme featured expert sessions delivered by eminent academicians and experienced resource persons from reputed institutions. Dr. K. Veningston, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, National Institute of Technology (NIT), Srinagar, served as a Chief Guest and one of the Resource Person for the programme. His expert deliberations provided valuable insights into advanced NLP methodologies, contemporary research challenges, and future directions of AI-driven language technologies.The FDP covered a wide range of emerging and research-oriented topics, including Linguistic Preprocessing and Text Understanding, Model Compression Techniques, Multimodality Integrating Text, Vision, Audio and Knowledge Graphs, Reducing Hallucinations in AI Models, and Future Applications and Research Directions in NLP. Each session was enriched with real-world examples, recent research trends, and hands-on demonstrations using modern AI tools, which greatly enhanced the learning experience of the participants.The programme was convened by Dr. V. Anusuya, Associate Professor and Head, Department of Information Technology, and coordinated by Dr. K. Palraj, Associate Professor Grade, with the support of faculty coordinators Mrs. G. Mareeswari and Mrs. G. Sivasathiya, Assistant Professors, Department of IT. The organizing committee ensured the smooth conduct of all sessions and effective interaction between the speakers and participants. Around 172 participants applied for this FDP. Out of those 115 participants attended the FDP. The training was ended with an Assessment in which the participants scored good marks to earn their certificate. Total of 115 digital certificates were successfully issued to the eligible participants.

Our Department of Information Technology organized a AICTE Training and Learning (ATAL) Academy sponsored Six-Days Online Faculty Development Programme on AI-Driven Solutions for Modern Cybersecurity Challenges from 16.12.2024 to 21.12.2024. Resource persons from a range of Industries in India and across the globe discussed their viewpoints on Cybersecurity. In order to offer their perspectives on applying AI to address Cybersecurity concerns, Academicians from India's Top Universities and Engineering colleges collaborated on the training program. The participants, who attended from a variety of Industries and Educational Institutions, gained a great deal of knowledge from each session.
The ATAL FDP was Coordinated by Dr.V.Anusuya, HOD/IT and Co-Coordinated by Dr.K.Palraj, ASP/IT. All the sessions were covered with emerging technologies and hands-on training with AI tools. Topics like Introduction to AI in Cybersecurity , Automating Incident Response with AI , Predictive threat Analysis in Vulnerability Management , Deep Learning for Malware detection, User Behavior Analytics: Enhancing Insider Threat Detection, The Impact of Adversarial Machine Learning on Cybersecurity have been detailed to the participants. Around 416 participants applied for this FDP and 214 participants were approved to attend this FDP based on the AICTE instructed criteria. Out of that 186 participants attended the FDP. The training was ended with an Assessment in which the participants scored good marks to earn their certificate. Totally 176 certificates were issued successfully.
