Workshop and Seminars
The Department of Information Technology, Ramco Institute of Technology, Rajapalayam, in association with the ACM Student Chapter and ISTE Student Chapter organised a One-day National-Level Workshop on AI-Powered Low Code and No Code Development Platforms on 25.10.2025 in hybrid mode. The Chief Guest and Resource Person for the event is Mr.T. Karkuvelraja, Associate Vice President, Vibhathi Labs, Chennai, and an Oracle ACE Professional known for his expertise in Oracle-based enterprise application development. Around 120 students from various departments of Ramco Institute of Technology and other colleges participated in the event. Under the directions of Dr. V. Anusuya, Associate Professor & Head/IT , the ACM Faculty Coordinator Dr.K.Palraj, ASP/IT and the ISTE Faculty Coordinator Mrs.A.Alagulakshmi, AP/IT and the faculty In-charges Mrs.G.Sivasathiya,AP/IT and Mrs. B.Thevahi,AP/IT along with the student coordinators have successfully structured and completed the event.

The Department of Information Technology, in association with ACM Student Chapter jointly organized an Online Guest Lecture on Artificial Intelligence in Digital Marketing on 21.07.2025 for ACM Student members from III yr and II Year IT. The Resource person of the guest lecture was Mr. B. Parthasarathy, Senior Architect, Emirates National Bank Dubai. Around 55 students were actively participated in this guest lecturer. The resource person gave an evolving role of AI in the marketing domain. It will cover key concepts such as AI-driven customer segmentation, personalized recommendations, predictive analytics, chatbots, and content automation. The session will help students and professionals understand how AI technologies are reshaping digital marketing practices, making them more efficient, data-driven, and customer-centric. The guest lecture was successfully organized and accomplished by the ACM student coordinators Ms. S. Aarthy III IT, Ms. S. Jeyadevi II IT. Ms. S. Arthy delivered the welcome address and Introduced the Chief Guest and at the end of the session, Ms.S. Jeyadevi gave vote of thanks. This seminar was organized by Dr. K. Palraj ASP/IT and Mrs A. Alagulakshmi AP / IT, under the guidance of Dr. V. Anusuya, HOD/IT.

The Department of Information Technology, in association with the Computer Society of India (CSI), organized a Project Review on Mobile Application Development on August 23, 2025, at 9:15 AM in the Data Science Laboratory with the primary objective of evaluating and enhancing students practical skills in designing and developing mobile applications. The review aimed to provide participants with an opportunity to showcase their innovative ideas, technical expertise, and problem-solving abilities while receiving constructive feedback from industry experts, thereby fostering creativity, teamwork, and a deeper understanding of real-world application development to prepare students for professional challenges in the IT field. The session was conducted by Mr. P. Bala Krishnan, Senior Android Developer and ZSGS Faculty, Zoho Corporation Pvt. Ltd., who served as the industry expert, and coordinated by Mrs. M. Rethina Kumari, AP/IT, and Mrs. G. Sivasathiya, AP/IT, under the guidance of Dr. V. Anusuya, Associate Professor and Head of IT. Student coordinators from II, III, and IV year IT actively contributed to the smooth organization of the event, which provided a platform for students to present and demonstrate their mobile application projects, highlighting creativity, technical skills, and problem-solving approaches. Based on the evaluation scores, Mr. Hari Krishnan of IV year IT is declared as the winner of the event.

The Department of Information Technology, in association with RIT Computer Society of India jointly organized a virtual workshop entitled User Experience in Action: A Hands-On Design Journey on 30.08.2025 for III yr IT Students. The Resource person of the workshop was Mr.Karthi, Founder & CEO, Dzinemakers UI/UX Studio, Chennai. Around 58 students of III-year IT department were actively participated in this workshop via Google Meet. The resource person gave an Introduction to UI and UX, its laws, principles and given a hands-on session with XD tool. All the participants were enthusiastically listened and signed-up the tool. They created their own design based on the instructions shared by the speaker. Feedback has been collected and certificates were distributed to the participants. The workshop was successfully organized and accomplished by the IV year student coordinator Mr.V. Banu Mathavan, III year student coordinator Mr.S.Gopi , II year student coordinator Ms.S.Santhiya. This workshop was organized by Mrs.G.Sivasathiya AP/IT , Mrs. G. Mareeswari AP/IT and Mrs.A.Alagulakshmi AP/IT under the guidance of Dr.V.Anusuya, HOD/IT.

The Department of Information Technology, in association with the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), organized a two-day hands-on workshop titled "Exploring GenAI" on 9th and 10th May 2025 at Shri PRR Seminar Hall. The workshop was conducted by Mr. Ajinkya Lohakare, a Certified Blockchain Expert, Penetration Tester, and renowned speaker on Josh Talks and TEDx platforms. The workshop was specifically targeted at II, III, and IV year IT students of RIT, with a total of 150 students participating actively in both sessions. The event began with an inaugural address and welcome speech, followed by two full-day sessions. On Day 1, Mr. Ajinkya Lohakare covered the theoretical foundations of Generative AI, including its history, underlying models (such as transformers and GANs), and practical examples across industries. On Day 2, the session moved into hands-on demonstrations and group activities, where students were introduced to GenAI tools and tasked with real-time design and development challenges. The interactive nature of the workshop, combined with real-world case studies, allowed students to explore the possibilities of AI-generated content, understand its role in future technologies, and reflect on its societal impact. The workshop was well-coordinated by Mrs. G. Sivasathiya and Mrs. A. Alagulakshmi, Assistant Professors of the Department of IT, under the guidance of Dr. V. Anusuya, Head of the Department. The program received positive feedback from both students and faculty, and e-certificates were distributed to all participants.

The Department of Information Technology, in association with ACM Student Chapter jointly organized a seminar on Modern App Development on 21.10.2024 for ACM Student members from III yr and II Year IT, CSE and CSBS. The Resource person of the workshop was Mr.P. Balakrishnan, Senior Android Developer, Zoho Corporation Pvt. Ltd. Around 66 students were actively participated in this seminar. The resource person gave an Introduction about the recent App development tools. All the participants were enthusiastically listened and signed-up the tool from their mail. Resource person shared his expertise on how to start a career as an Android developer and offered practical tips on cracking Android developer interviews to the participants. The seminar was successfully organized and accomplished by the ACM student coordinators Mr. R.Praveen Kumar III IT , Mr.G.Arjun II IT. Ms. S. Arthy compered, Mr. R.Praveen Kuamr delivered the welcome address, Ms.S. Sobana, Introduced the Chief Guest and at the end of the session, Ms. M. Valli gave vote of thanks. This seminar was organized by Dr. K. Palraj ASP/IT, under the guidance of Dr.V.Anusuya, HOD/IT.

The Department of Information Technology, in association with RIT Computer Society of India jointly organized a virtual workshop entitled Brainstorming using Miro on 24.09.2024 for III yr IT Students. The Resource person of the workshop was Mr.S.Balabasker, Founder, Ediylabs Technology Solutions. Around 54 students of III year IT department were actively participated in this workshop via Google Meet. The resource person gave an Introduction about the Miro tool and given a hands-on session with Miro tool. All the participants were enthusiastically listened and signed-up the tool from their mail. They created their own design based on the instructions shared by the speaker. Feedback has been collected and certificates were distributed to the participants. The workshop was successfully organized and accomplished by the III year student coordinators Mr. M.Suhail Ahamed , Mr. S. Ragul Raj . Also Ms.S.Sobana compered and Ms.S.Swathi Introduced the Chief Guest. At the end of the session , Ms.M.Akshaya given vote of thanks. This workshop was organized by Mrs.G.Sivasathiya AP/IT ,Mrs. G. Mareeswari AP/IT and Mrs.A.Alagulakshmi AP/IT under the guidance of Dr.V.Anusuya, HOD/IT.

Department of Information Technology in association with RIT INFOTRIX, organized a Two Days Workshop on Mobile App Development using Flutter for II Year IT & CSBS Students from 23.02.2024 to 24.02.2024. The resource person of the workshop was Mr.T.Bharath, Flutter Full Stack Engineer. 36 students of II Year IT & CSBS department were actively participated in this workshop. The resource person gave a lecture on overview of Flutter development, UI elements, Dart package manager, Flutter testing and deployment along with hands-on session. The participants expressed that the workshop was very much interesting and informative. Certificates were distributed to all the participants. The workshop was expertly managed by student coordinators including Mr.M.Joel Paulraj and Ms.K.V.Ashmitha. Second year IT Student Ms.U.Thanishkashree given the vote of thanks. The workshop was coordinated by Mr.S.Sakkaravarthi,AP/IT and Mr.M.V.Balaganesh,AP/IT under the guidance of Dr.V.Anusuya, HOD/IT.
