Our Collaboration

We have signed an agreement with Bennett University as a Lead Zonal Partner for increasing the knowledge pool in the High-end technologies of Artificial Intelligence, Deep Learning in India. Prof. Deepak Garg, Bennett University, Noida has received funds from the Royal Academy of UK, University College of London, NVIDIA, Amazon for the research Initiative titled Making Deep Learning and AI skills mainstream in India to fulfill trilateral needs of entrepreneurship, Industry academia partnership, and application-inspired Engineering Research.

Workshop / Webinar Organized:

Guest Lecture on Introduction to ML in Natural Language Processing

RIT- AI Cell, Ramco Institute of Technology organized guest lecture on Introduction to ML in Natural Language Processing on 07.06.2022. Mr.S.Valai Ganesh, AP/Mech has explained about text mining and its flow, significance of text mining, speech recognition, NLTK python module, Text extraction and pre-processing techniques, NLP process workflow and finally he gave the demonstration in basics of NLP and Movie review in NLP. 29 students from CSE, ECE and Mechanical department were participated.

Guest Lecture on AI & ML

RIT- AI Cell, Ramco Institute of Technology organized guest lecture to I year CSE & I year ECE students in connection of Microsoft Techsaksham FDP. Ms.N.Nithya, Assistant Professor/CSE and Ms.B.VijayalakshmiAP(SG)/CSE have delivered the lecture in the topic of AI overview and its Applications on 04.02.2022 & 07.02.2022 & 3.00pm to 04.00 pm. She explained the basics of AI , the difference between AI, ML and DL concepts to the students.120 students of I year CSE and ECE were participated.



Faculty Development Program on Enabling the professional development of faculty on IR4.0 Technology Artificial Intelligence

The RIT-AI Cell, Ramco Institute of Technology, Rajapalayam organized a five day Microsoft and SAP CSR Techsakhsham Faculty Development Program on Enabling the professional development of faculty on IR4.0 Technology Artificial Intelligence from 24.01.2022 to 29.01.2022 in association with Edunet. 55 Faculty members across various institutes include internal faculty were actively participated in this program. Faculty Members are exposed in to the topics like Machine Learning Algorithms, Deep Learning Concepts and Hands-on-Sessions by the trainers. Assignments were also posted at the end of each session. The sessions were coordinated by Dr. M. Gomathy Nayagam, ASP/CSE, Mrs. N. Nithya, AP/CSE and Mr.S.Valai Ganesh, AP/Mech

One Day Webinar on Challenges in Building Intelligent Unmanned Systems

RIT-AI Research Group, Ramco Institute of Technology, Rajapalayam organized a one-day Intra college research Webinar on Challenges in Building Intelligent Unmanned Systems for the UG Students, Research Scholars, internal faculty members on 09th October 2021. Dr. Sreejith Vidhyadharan Nair, Post-Doctoral Researcher, University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, USA delivered the lecture. The objective of the guest lecture is to focus on an Challenges in the design of Unmanned Vehicle . The resource person explained the role of AI in building unmanned aircraft system and elaborates the difference between the applications of manned system and unmanned systems. He spoken about the operational challenges in UAV, technologies used in UAV, the role of edge devices in UAV and the difference between edge devices and cloud, and ML in edge devices and its various security issues. Total 84 numbers of participants were participated and got benefited.

One Day Webinar on Applications of AI and ML in Industry 4.0

RIT-AI Research Group, Ramco Institute of Technology, Rajapalayam organized a one-day Webinar on Applications of AI and ML in Industry 4.0 for the UG and PG Students, Research Scholars, internal and external faculty members on 02nd October 2021. Dr.P.Palpandian, Professor and Programme Coordinator- B.Tech Robotics and Mechatronics, Department of Mechanical and Automobile Engineering, Christ University (Deemed to be University) delivered the lecture. The objective of the guest lecture is to focus on an impact of AI and ML in Industry 4.0. The resource person explained about the development stages of Industrial manufacturing, Potential Industry 4.0 solutions, the impact of Industry 4.0 in companies, Benefits, AI in manufacturing industries with case studies and ML solutions for the manufacturing Industry. Total 169 numbers of participants (including internal faculty members) across India and the participants from Philippians and Spain participated and got benefited.

Three Day Workshop on Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning

RIT-AI Research Centre in association with RIT-IIC cell, Ramco Institute of Technology, Rajapalayam organized a Five-day Faculty Development program on Demystifying Machine Learning algorithms using Python for the Research Scholars, internal and external faculty members from 28th December 2020 - 02nd Jan 2021. Dr.Danilo Pelusi, Associate Professor, University of Teramo, Italy delivered the keynote address and handled the session in the title of Introduction to AI, ML and its Application in the first session of FDP. Mr.Senthil Ramachandran, Senior Director, Capgemini delivered the lecture titled Advanced Analytics and Artificial Intelligence for Industries in the eleventh session of FDP. The members of the RIT-AI Research centre handled the other sessions of FDP and gave hands-on to the participants. Total 83 numbers of participants (including internal faculty members) from 32 institutes across India participated and got benefited.

Three Day Workshop on Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning

RIT in association with NVIDIA Bennett Research Lab, Bennett University, Noida organized a Three-day workshop on Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning during 14.09.2018 to 16.09.2018. Prof. Deepak Garg, Director, NVIDIA-Bennett Research Centre for AI, Dr.Sridhar, Project Manager and Dr.Suneett, AP, Bennett University were the resource persons. 63 faculty members from our and other college were participated. The resource persons handled the session on Introduction to AI & Deep learning, Hyper parameters, CNN, RNN, GRU, LSTM, Transfer learning.

Two day workshop on NVIDIA GPU, Kubernetes and ML Frameworks

RIT-AI Research Centre in association with NVIDIA Bennett Research Centre and SS Information Systems Pvt. Ltd. Chennai conducted a Two day workshop on NVIDIA GPU, Kubernetes and ML Frameworks for the Students of AI research team during 25.07.2019 & 26.07.2019. Students were exposed to:

  • How to Install and Kubernetes cluster in NVIDIA powered GPU.
  • How to deploy Tensorflow based ML Application in Kubernetes Cluster.
  • Sample ML Applications were deployed by the students in Kubernetes Cluster.


Three Day Workshop on Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning

RIT AI- Research Center conducted a Three-day workshop on Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning from 03.01.2019 to 05.01.2019. 28 students of Final Year students participated in this workshop. Mr.R.Balaji Ganesh, AP(SG)/CSE, Dr.K.Karthikeyan, ASP/EEE, Mrs.M.Swarna Sudha, AP(SG)/CSE Mrs.B.Vijayalakshmi, AP(SG)/CSE, Ms.P.Jothi Thilaga, AP/CSE handled the session on Basics of machine learning and deep neural network, CNN, Faster R-CNN , Mask R-CNN, RNN, NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute Hands-on Labs.


One Day Workshop on Tensor Flow

RIT AI Research centre and Department of CSE organized a One day Workshop on Tensor Flow during the National Level Technical Symposium TechYuga 2019 on 31.08.2019. 65 participants from various colleges participated in this workshop. Mr.Asokmani, final year CSE student handled the session on Motivation to AI, Deep Learning Fundamentals, Tensorflow, Playground, Introduction to Prediction and Classification Algorithms along with the hands-on session.


One Credit Value Added Course on Transfer Learning Frameworks

Department of CSE Conducted Anna University approved One Credit Value added course on Transfer Learning Frameworks for III Year CSE students during the academic year 2019-2020(Odd Semester) with the approval of Anna university. Mr.V.Chandran, AP/ECE, NVIDIA DLI Ambassador, KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore, and our faculty members handled the 30 hours on CNN, RCNN, YOLO to the iii year CSE students on this value-added course.

Five Days Faculty Development Program on Machine Learning using Python"

Department of Computer Science and Engineering in association with ISTE Faculty Chapter and RIT AI- Research organized Five Days Faculty Development Program on Machine Learning using Python for the faculty members from 8.07.2020 to 12.07.2020. 45 number of faculty members from various colleges in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh attended the FDP. Mrs.N.Nithya, AP/CSE introduced the basics of machine learning. Mrs.B.Vijayalakshmi, AP(SG)/CSE & Mr.K.Vignesh Saravanan, AP/CSE handled the python packages for machine learning algorithms. Mr.D.Lakshmanan,AP(SG)/CSE & Mr.M.Gomathy Nayagam, AP(SG)/CSE handled the supervised and unsupervised learning algorithms. Mr.M.Gomathy Nayagam, AP(SG)/CSE, Mrs.B.Vijayalakshmi, AP(SG)/CSE & Mr.K.Vignesh Saravanan, AP/CSE coordinated the entire FDP under the guidance of Dr.K.Vijayalakshmi, Professor & Head/CSE.
